Hello all
I have a question.. I'm currently running into this problem: Segmentation fault (core dumped) when attempting to start spyder installed through the latest Anaconda package (5.2.0)
Has anyone experienced the same problem?

@srswarley, please update to Spyder 3.3.1 by running conda update spyder in a system terminal (cmd.exe, xterm or Terminal.app). That version comes with a fix for that error.

Will there be a full Blog Post explaining what is new in Spyder 4? I'm trying out the Beta right now and love some additions (Tab Indent Guides, Tab Bar Arrows) but I want to know everyting knew that was added

@adodell Yes indeed; I'm planning on doing it this weekend, and although it'll be pretty detailed it'll probably only scratch the surface of all the changes.
@ccordoba12 If pyopengl still needed to be installed to avoid a segfault, does that imply that the fix in 3.3.0 didn't fully resolve the problem, or is it a user/driver-specific one? It did fix it in my Fedora test VM.

Grad students? Extra time? Wuuuuuuut? :) I only had some things summer since my funding hadn't come through yet, hehe, and now that it has and I have research, classes, and other volunteer projects to manage I have no idea how I'm going to keep up the pace since I already don't have much of a social life outside of the Spyder community, lol. But anything you find yourself able to help out with, we'd be glad to have it!

I don't know. Sometimes there are solving conflicts that don't allow for Spyder to be updated correctly, and that's why I suggested the OP to try pyopengl. But the hack involving that package was removed in 3.3.0
