@ccordoba12 I set up a AWS AMI to use a SSH password as opposed to a key pair. Installed Anaconda and ran python -m spyder_kernels.console. Put the JSON file on my PC and tried to connect remotely but still no joy. For the host name, when I specify ec2-user@<AWS AMI IP>:port - what port number do I specify? Do I use 8888 which is the one Juypter is running on on my AWS AMI?

@RudeScotsman, no, the port number is the one sshd is running on

sshd is the name of the daemon for the ssh service on Linux. By default it runs on port 22

@ccordoba12 I can mention this in the docs as well. Port 22 should be a safe bet unless the user or their admin has configured it differently, since that's the official IANA assigned port for SSH.

Added to the issue; I'll take care of it later today. Also, almost done with the review on your PR (and don't worry, 95% of it wasn't anything to do with your NOTICE.txt entry :) )
