Help > Aboutin Spyder, what version is stated there? 3.3.3 is the latest version. Similarly, in
conda list spyderin Anaconda prompt, what version is given?
conda list spyderdoesn't show
3.3.3, then tell it to install via
conda install spyder=3.3.3and report any conflicts;
3.3.3, then something is wrong with Spyder's update checker (unlikely, but not impossible).
@cleungdb There are some known problems with Anaconda Navigator and updating/launching Spyder; I recommend you always launch and update it from the shortcut or Anaconda prompt since both are strictly faster than doing so through Navigator and avoid potential problems with the latter.
Given that's the case, install via
conda install spyder=3.3.3 as I requested above and report the results.
conda list spyderhere.
@silviu-oprea Sure, its more or less fully implemented aside from minor polishing (you can check the latest status in spyder-ide/spyder#8068 ). It will be available in Spyder 4 Beta 2, due out soon (™), but you can try it out right now by simply running Spyder off a Github clone.
Just clone this repo, create a new conda environment (or
venv, if not using Anaconda/Miniconda), and installing the dependencies with
conda install -c spyder-ide --file requirements/conda.txt (or its
pip equivalent). You can then launch Spyder by just running
python bootstrap.py from the root of the repo.
