Rafi Khan
@z3t0
yess
how?
Dane Balia
@daneb
The problem was a corrupt package....
Rafi Khan
@z3t0
a different package?
Dane Balia
@daneb
not sure how, but when I removed it, then found a settings file in the sublime packages directory. Re-installed and it worked!
removed it = I mean "Javatar"
Rafi Khan
@z3t0
Okay
happy it worked for you :D
Dane Balia
@daneb
so removing all trace of Javatar seemed to fix it!
yes really excited, it's such an awesome tool!
thank you for your guidance
Rafi Khan
@z3t0
something probably went wrong when trying to update
Dane Balia
@daneb
and taking the time to assist
Rafi Khan
@z3t0
no problem.. I didnt do anything :D
Dane Balia
@daneb
and I can keep using it ;)
I will keep you posted if it happens again or I can recreate the problem
Rafi Khan
@z3t0
Great!
Dane Balia
@daneb
z3t0, I think I may have discovered the problem
Rafi Khan
@z3t0
@daneb What is it?
Dane Balia
@daneb
not sure how it's happening, but when I fire up my main() and it's a long running process, I eventually kill it by closing the window. At this point the "project src" is deleted or removed from the settings files
that's what happened with my other project - but I think the settings files got far more corrupt, to the extent that any project I built, just couldn't add dependecies
@z3t0 don't know if I am making sense ? ;)
Rafi Khan
@z3t0
so you're saying your java program is somehow modifying javatar files?
Dane Balia
@daneb
yeah that does sound weird ;) Trying to replicate again
Rafi Khan
@z3t0
could you do a fresh install of javatar and backup the fresh settings file
then try and break it
and paste the two in a gist?
Dane Balia
@daneb
yip did it again ;)
will do
after package remove, is the settings file still supposed to be there?
Rafi Khan
@z3t0
not sure
but probably yes
Its probably a failsafe design in case you want to install the plugin again
Dane Balia
@daneb
holy crap - now my src directory was just removed
what!
ok going to put it back and try give you the two gists...
Rafi Khan
@z3t0
haha lol
that's helpful...NOT!
@z3t0 I will try replicate the deletion of "src" again. Seems to happen with multiple package removes and adds
Dane Balia
@daneb
@z3t0 shall I log an issue for the breaking of the "src" in settings?
Rafi Khan
@z3t0
@daneb I would recommend creating an issue yes
Dane Balia
@daneb
@z3t0 thanks and done ;)
Rafi Khan
@z3t0
Ok I'll take a look and see what I find
Just to be clear, this settings file is inside your project? Or in the Javatar Package folder
Sirisak Lueangsaksri
@spywhere
@z3t0 The settings file seems to be inside User folder. Javatar does't save the message_id, javatar_gp or full jdk_versionin the project file. However, this should work without any issue but it just a global settings rather than a project settings.
@daneb I answered your issue on #48. Please try resolve it and see if the issue still persist.
Martin Juan José Bucher
@mnbucher
Hi everyone
I have some issues installing javatar
Sirisak Lueangsaksri
@spywhere
@mnbucher which version you are trying to install? a stable version or a prerelease one?
