    Are there any launch tix available now?
    CAM Gerlach
    @CAM-Gerlach
    The main focus of this one was the pre-launch tour since while we'll provide a good view of launch, the Star Fleet staff and crew volunteers who will be on-site for this one will all be at the press site covering the event as part of the NASA Social. However, its possible we could get a trip together since the boat should be available; let us know if you're interested.

    @CAM-Gerlach
    @1010Cardio_twitter Okay, we're officially on for launch, we just gotta have Evan update the reservation system so you can actually buy the tickets

    @CAM-Gerlach
    @1010Cardio_twitter Hey, just wanted to let you know the launch tickets are officially on sale https://www.star-fleet.tours/current/ and with the rocket trajectory our viewing position is looking very good!

    Hi folks. I am already booked for the pre-launch and the launch. Could you tell me where the boarding is please?
    CAM Gerlach
    @CAM-Gerlach
    Sure thing, sorry for the delay; Star Fleet is just a volunteer thing I do when I'm not building open-source IoT sensor systems and machine learning systems for NASA. We're going to send an email out later today and you can check out our details page for full details, but we meet at Sunrise Marina and Grills Bike Pit at 505 Glen Cheek Dr. in Port Canaveral.
    @BrucePerens Thanks for your support of Star Fleet!
    Also, for everyone here, with the cancellation of the KSCVC LC-39 gantry and no backup KSCVC options, we are now officially the closest public viewing location to the launch for any price. Might need to get a bigger boat...
    Bruce Perens
    @BrucePerens
    Well I'm interested in hearing about your open source IOT. I am the creator of busybox, which pretty much makes me the creator of embedded Linux too.
    Ashley Grant
    @AshleyGrant
    Oh wow, I've used busybox on so many phones! It'd be great to meet you, unfortunately, I can't make it to this launch.

    Any chance of a bigger boat / more tickets opening up? Looking for an option since our LC-39 tickets were canceled :-/
    Michal Zgraja
    @bulhi_gitlab
    Hello everyone, I also had an official viewing ticket from Kennedy Space Center and since I travelled from Vancouver to see the launch, I would be very interested in an extra ticket, in case bigger boat is dispatched. Is there any notification/wait list I could join?
    CAM Gerlach
    @CAM-Gerlach
    @_bletham__twitter @bulhi_gitlab Hey, so unfortunately we just had to scrub the mission due to the captains advising us it would be too rough to go out. We recommend Jetty Park as a backup option that should ensure a more pleasant experience given the conditions. We'll be going out again for the next CRS-20 mission featuring a spectacular booster landing coming in right over the boats, so hopefully you can make it for that; otherwise hopefully you have a good time for this one and let us know if we can be of any other help making that happen for you.

    Thanks for the response, and the tip! Hope it’s a great launch.

    How can we get tickets for the March 2nd CRS20 launch? It is not listed on the site yet.
    CAM Gerlach
    @CAM-Gerlach
    @Brooks1988 It will be in the next few days; per the terms of our payment processor we have to offer the tickets no more than two weeks in advance. Stay tuned to our various channels (email list, Slack and social media) to be the first to get the update when we announce it, and we'll ensure you have at least 48 hours notice when we announce the exact date and time tickets will go live. Thanks for your patience!
    CAM Gerlach
    @CAM-Gerlach
    @/all For anyone interested, we're offering tickets to see an Falcon 9-Dragon night launch to the space station and an RTLS booster coming in right over our head and landing up close on the SpaceX CRS-20 mission March 2 at 1:45 am EST. Check out our tickets page for more!

    Anyone else having issues purchasing tickets? It's telling me they are sold out even though 88 tickets remaining.

    @oldzia1988
    I have the same problem. Maybe they are sold out?
    CAM Gerlach
    @CAM-Gerlach
    @/all @Mark.Labuda_gitlab @oldzia1988 Sorry for the issue; there are still tickets available but we were just experiencing a bug with the site that was fixed a couple minutes after you purchased. Let me know if you have any more issues or I can help with anything!

    I had just purchased the tickets and there was only 2 drop down preferences, I clicked OO2, I have checked back and there is another preference for OO2 Upper deck which I would of preferred if it was available at the time of purchase, please advise options
    CAM Gerlach
    @CAM-Gerlach
    @StingerNSW_twitter Hey, unfortunately due to a misunderstanding on my part the OO2 preference didn't get added right away, but if you DM me your name or reservation number I can manually add it, and we're working on adding it to your reservation status page so you can easily change it yourself.
    oldzia1988
    @oldzia1988
    @CAM-Gerlach we bought 5 tickets for OO2 but at the time of purchaising them, the option UPPER DECK was't available. Is it still possible to change it?
    CAM Gerlach
    @CAM-Gerlach
    Sure thing, we'd be happy to. We can't gaurentee you'll get it since the spots are extremely high demand but we can put you down for that. Just DM me your name or reservation number and I can do it right away. Thanks!
    CAM Gerlach
    @CAM-Gerlach
    @/all In case anyone hasn't heard through our other channels, the SpaceX CRS-20 launch was delayed to Friday March 6 at 11:50 PM EST. Your Star Fleet tickets are still valid for the new date as usual, and if you aren't able to make it then, please contact us as soon as possible to receive a refund. Thanks!
    oldzia1988
    @oldzia1988
    Hello, where can we send you our request? An E-mail Please
    CAM Gerlach
    @CAM-Gerlach

    @/all ANNOUNCEMENT: The mission is still on and we've opened up a few more spots, and launch weather is currently at 60% chance of GO, with the main concern being liftoff winds. However, the captains have informed us that while it is still possible for us to go out, the waters will be pretty choppy, and they've said its possible they might not be able to go out as far as we normally do, although we'll still have a clear view and be the closest game in town.

    To provide you all the best experience we can, we're guaranteeing everyone a spot on the big boat, "Double O" (OO2), since its much more stable in rough seas. We will also offer free Dramamine anti-seasickness tables for everyone at checkin well before departure, and we won't be out there too long, just the 15-30 minute trip out to the viewing location and back.

    However, if have a particularly sensitive stomach and would prefer to view this launch from land, please let us know and we would be happy to offer a full refund. Just email us or message us on our Slack (preferred), Gitter, Facebook, or Twitter with your reservation code and full name, and we'll get that taken care of for you.

    As backup options, we would recommend the Rt. 401 USAF stands or Jetty Park in Port Canaveral as the best spot to view the spectacular launch and landing, with the parks just south of the Port as an additional alternative. Be advised Playalinda will be closed and KSCVC is sold out. Whatever you choose, making sure everyone has the best possible launch experience is why Star Fleet exists, so don't hesitate to ask if you have questions or would like further viewing advice. Thanks, and we hope to see you on board the Fleet!

    Hello
    CAM Gerlach
    @CAM-Gerlach
    Hello!
    DJ dahlheimer
    @DJ_Dahlheimer_twitter
    Are you offering views for starlink 5 and atlas 5
    On 14th and 19th
    If so when will those tickets be available
    CAM Gerlach
    @CAM-Gerlach
    We're not currently planning on it, sorry, since neither launch features a landing which we provide unparalleled views of, and both will be within the hours of KSCVC and they'll likely have close-up viewing of the launch available with admission or for a relatively modest additional fee, making the boats not necessarily offer a clear advantage. As a volunteer-run, community supported organization, we usually focus on Falcon Heavy, RTLS landing, NASA CRS, and crewed missions, as well as other "special" flights (Crew Dragon IFA, Solar Orbiter, Mars 2020) where significant interest exists and we serve an unmet need in the spaceflight community, either providing a closer view or at a lower cost than comparable alternatives. Our next big launch is currently planned to be the Crew Dragon DM-2 first crewed mission; we although others may pop up on a case by case basis if enough people are interested and we offer meaningful value over the alternatives. Typically when we do offer a launch, we aim to announce it at least two weeks in advance and offer tickets at a set day and time a few days thereafter; we unfortunately cannot do them any earlier (though we announce earlier if practical) due to the terms and conditions of our payment processor. Hopefully that answers your questions!
    @DJ_Dahlheimer_twitter And sorry for the delay, trying to roll out important announcements for our CRS-20 mission at the same time.

    What’s the departure time for tonight’s (March 6th) launch?

    @AviatorJordan_twitter
    Greetings; I have a ticket for the launch attempt tonight, but it was the last ticket. I am hoping that there might be a spare one floating around for a friend of mine 😅
    conniehannon
    @conniehannon_twitter
    Michael likely we will have an additional ticket and possibly two on the upper deck.

    @AviatorJordan_twitter

    CAM Gerlach
    @CAM-Gerlach
    @conniehannon_twitter Sorry for the delay; apparently Mailchimp didn't send our pre-launch briefing email at 8pm last night like we scheduled it so the information didn't send out to you all until an hour ago when after several people messaged us, we realized there had been an error and re-sent it. You can see our Tickets page for full details, but the times are Checkin 9:45PM | Boarding 10:15PM | Departure 10:45PM . Let us know if you have further questions!

    Hi -- I'm looking for parking near the meetup location that will take a 25 foot RV -- we have no other transportation available. Can you help?
    Michael Jordan
    @AviatorJordan_twitter
    @conniehannon_twitter can I secure one before then? I gave my friend hope; Apple Pay Transfer or something?
    @CAM-Gerlach in case @conniehannon_twitter doesn’t come
    Michael Jordan
    @AviatorJordan_twitter
    ...through, would there be a chance of buying a second ticket for tonight?
    CAM Gerlach
    @CAM-Gerlach
    If @conniehannon_twitter doesn't come we can just refund her tickets and let you buy one. Unfortunately we have been booked up to 80 people on the boat for some time now, the max due to coast guard safety regulations. Especially in the choppy seas we expect, we don't want to take any chances overloading the boat, sorry, since safety is our priority. However, there is always a good chance of additional cancels or no-shows so they should have a decent shot as a standby. @AviatorJordan_twitter I'll let you know as soon as I do if someone cancels before checkin.
