@AryanJ-NYC
Using Angular2.
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
can you try
stealTools.build({
    config: __dirname+"/package.json!npm”
})
Aryan J
@AryanJ-NYC
Thank you. Unfortunately, same error.
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
does your package.json have a main?
Aryan J
@AryanJ-NYC
Unsure that'll work.
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
outside of system
Aryan J
@AryanJ-NYC
Yes.
Took it out, tried again, same error.
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
does it work if you just have one bundle?
Aryan J
@AryanJ-NYC
No.
  "devDependencies": {
    "concurrently": "^3.1.0",
    "dotenv": "^2.0.0",
    "jasmine-core": "^2.5.1",
    "jasmine-node-karma": "^1.6.1",
    "karma": "^1.2.0",
    "karma-chrome-launcher": "^2.0.0",
    "karma-cli": "^1.0.1",
    "karma-firefox-launcher": "^1.0.0",
    "karma-jasmine": "^1.0.2",
    "steal": "^0.16.41",
    "steal-tools": "^0.16.8"
  },
FWIW
OK, wait, got it. I did a bad paste.
Sorry.
The first suggestion worked for me.
(config: ...)
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
oh, good
@tracer99 you might want to submit your issue on the forums. Someone else can probably give some better advice.
Paul Tichonczuk
@tracer99
@phillipskevin will do, thanks
Aryan J
@AryanJ-NYC
@phillipskevin OOC, is this anywhere in the docs? I just started with StealJS.
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
yeah, it’s in the docs about steal-tools build: http://stealjs.com/docs/steal-tools.build.html
were you looking at something else for putting your build script together?
maybe we could make it more obvious
Is what I was looking at.
I probably should have followed some links.
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
ok, yeah, I’m not sure why it’s not mentioned there
if you think it would help, feel free to add an issue to update the docs
Aryan J
@AryanJ-NYC
Oh, cool. Do you take PRs for doc updates and such?
I'd love to help. This is awesome.
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
yeah, absolutely
we’re always happy to have new contributors
Aryan J
@AryanJ-NYC
On http://stealjs.com/docs/StealJS.moving-to-prod.html, it says to use <script src="./dist/node_modules/steal/steal.production.js" main="app/app"></script>.
However, when I look at dist after build, there is no node_modules folder.
Just linked it to the bundle. System is not defined.
Aryan J
@AryanJ-NYC
^ ignore
Aryan J
@AryanJ-NYC
Is the ignore option an array of package names?
StealJS keeps overwriting my the Zone.js Promise. Returns an error. Sigh.
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
where are you seeing ignore?
I made it an array of strings.
Strings of module name
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
yeah, an array of module identifiers
stealTools.build({
    config: __dirname + "/package.json!npm"
}, {
    ignore: [ 'jquery' ]
});
something like that
Aryan J
@AryanJ-NYC
Perfect, thanks. Are there any ng2 examples in production?
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
not that I know of
you could ask on the forums
maybe someone has one
