ok, yeah, I’m not sure why it’s not mentioned there
if you think it would help, feel free to add an issue to update the docs
Aryan J
@AryanJ-NYC
Oh, cool. Do you take PRs for doc updates and such?
I'd love to help. This is awesome.
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
yeah, absolutely
we’re always happy to have new contributors

On http://stealjs.com/docs/StealJS.moving-to-prod.html, it says to use <script src="./dist/node_modules/steal/steal.production.js" main="app/app"></script>.
However, when I look at dist after build, there is no node_modules folder.
Just linked it to the bundle. System is not defined.

^ ignore
Aryan J
@AryanJ-NYC
Is the ignore option an array of package names?
StealJS keeps overwriting my the Zone.js Promise. Returns an error. Sigh.
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
where are you seeing ignore?
I made it an array of strings.
Strings of module name
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
yeah, an array of module identifiers
stealTools.build({
    config: __dirname + "/package.json!npm"
}, {
    ignore: [ 'jquery' ]
});
something like that
Aryan J
@AryanJ-NYC
Perfect, thanks. Are there any ng2 examples in production?
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
not that I know of
you could ask on the forums
maybe someone has one
Aryan J
@AryanJ-NYC
Huge help. Thanks a lot.
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
no problem

Hey guys... I am trying to add jquery inputmask to a project... having some trouble
But then I get Potentially unhandled rejection [6] Error: Error loading "inputmask" at file:/Users/marcgodard/project/site/inputmask.js
where site is the base of my project
Anyone have experience with jquery inputmask?

Anyone ever get this error message
main.js:19Error loading "C" at http://localhost:8080/C.js
Error loading "C" from "src/main" at http://localhost:8080/src/main.js
Not Found: http://localhost:8080/C.js undefined
I'm trying to move to production.

@AryanJ-NYC
So root of it comes from Angular2's Router and StealJS not playing nicely.
App works in productions but StealJS' build step breaks it.

is there any graceful way of rendering a stache template as a subtemplate in EJS? In mustache you simply did
<%== can.view.render('template', object) %>
and this worked. however, if the template is a stache file (we're slowly converting), the output is [object DocumentFragment]
We found a workaround which is to use the element callback and manually appendChild ie
<%= (el)->el.appendChild(can.stache('template', object)) %>
This has drawbacks, not least of which is that we need a bunch of throw away containers.
Matthew Phillips
@matthewp
Yeah, I think the fact that ejs works with strings while stache uses fragments makes that the only real way
Paul Tichonczuk
@tracer99
@matthewp thanks

So i'm back to trying to get paths to work in our older CanJS projects like DoneJS projects work. This project has had all it's libraries upgraded to the latest releases. The thing I'm after is being able to reference node_modules without having to specific "node_modules/" before every package.
I've set directotories: {src: "ucp2"} but that doesn't seem to make any change.
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
you’ve set that under system?
if you’re loading steal from node_modules, it should automatically be able to find other node modules
Paul Tichonczuk
@tracer99
yes
and yes
Kevin Phillips
@phillipskevin
ok, I think you can only set directories.lib
