Hey there! Exactly which module, which view, which subpanel etc? If I'm going to start trying to reproduce this, I prefer using a specific situation that you know has the problem on your side.
I also suggest trying it on the live demo to check if the problem is only on your installation or not.

@pgorod Attempting to do an export from the "Target List" module which includes Targets, Leads, and Contacts. It's exporting most columns including all of my custom columns; however, it's not export the description field from and of the three entities.

Morning, it's been suggested that there might be some ongoing problems with automated Emails being sent out on the inbound mailboxes module when a case is automatically opened, is this recognised as an ongoing issue at the moment by Suite CRM Dev? Thanks

Hey, I understand that there were a lot of problems with the Email module being pretty broken. I read a fix from one of the Devs that it was possible to assign mailboxes to users from the user management section - this has since gone in the last 8 months since he posted that. I logically next checked the documentation and it is woefully lacking on instructions as to how to give access to a mailbox to a user. Anybody done this please as I am sitting here tearing my head out or, simply, can it not currently be done? Thanks

I am advocating and working towards getting email fixed in depth, sorting out the underlying mess in the code. But that kind of moved me away from this everyday cycle of small superficial fixes. I guess I can say I've done my fair share of that... sorry, this makes me an helpful person for you at the moment. Hopefully I can bring something to these issues in the medium-long term.

@pgorod is anybody here who's in a Senior position that actually knows what the current state of play is pleae :) It's really one of those moments where you need to know so you can work out whether you are barking up the wrong tree as to whether Suite CRM is going to do what I need. Is Aaron not around anymore - he seemed really good at keeping things together :)

I don't think there's anybody around that's going to give you a more complete answer like you're looking for. Whatever happens in email is either a) a small fix or b) not happening soon

Hi all, regarding salesagility/SuiteCRM#7842 , I was tinkering around, i found that if the needsToParseLegacyAddresses method of the SugarEmailAddress class doesn't do anything, the issue doesn't occur.. I don't know other implications or uses for this code.. maybe someone who knows better can evaluate this...

Sorry to be blunt but why the goodness is SuiteCRM in such a hell of a mess with 1k issues + open and a totally bawked Email system?
What's the purpose - do you not reckon it's about time to regroup, abandon this rubbish and rebuild?

@greenlanegreb In regards to the 1k issues, they are actively triaged but there aren't quite the resources available to really make a dent in bringing the number down. Many of the people who were looking at that previously (Myself included) have been working on SuiteCRM-8 (Regroup and rebuild :)).

As for emails.... It's not ideal, really the main problem is that every time one issue gets fixed it ends up causing 10 more. Imo we really need strong automated testing and much-improved email documentation before significant progress can be made. For most things there are usually at least some workarounds but finding them can be "challenging" to say the least, best bet is normally giving Mac-Rae a ping on the forums.

For some reason its always blank but if halt the code on first iteration there is data.

No bother @pribeiro42, Suite Core is the SuiteCRM 8 Beta release which used the documentation here (https://docs.suitecrm.com/8.x/admin/) to install. Where as SuiteCRM 7 the fully supported release is found in the SuiteCRM Repo and is built using the documentation here (https://docs.suitecrm.com/admin/installation-guide/)
