Dude I love this project but the agents are too damn heavy, the portainer agents are very light.. not sure why the agents are consuming so much memory from the nodes. I'm just going to continue using without the agents..

I'm going to open a ticket with a comparison between two different setups for docker-compose.xml one is the light version without the agents and influxdb and the other full.. dude it's over the roof with the agents.. get out of this memory hogger called Java.

Here I opened the ticket, the Swarmpit memory challenge: swarmpit/swarmpit#551

Every time I try to install swarmpit I get the following message: .docker: Error response from daemon: attaching to network failed, make sure your network options are correct and check manager logs: context deadline exceeded.

Any suggestions on how to get it to work?

Every time I try to add a service, it tells me that the repositories fetching failed with a request timeout. How do I check this to see what is happening?

Is there documentation on a cron-like functionality? I under stand restart timers - but sometimes the job takes 30 seconds, and sometimes it takes 2 minutes. I would like it to run '/5 *'.

hi, is there a way to use the swarmpit-installer as unattended installer?

application setup
Enter stack name [swarmpit]:
Enter application port [888]:
Enter database volume driver [local]:
Enter admin username [admin]:
Enter admin password (min 8 characters long): password123

i.e. Providing the above input somehow without manual interaction?

please advice

hey friends. i googled around a little bit and didn't see any obvious answer, but any chance to support influxdb 2.0? it requires a bit of work in terms of specifying an org, but doesn't look like too much lift
happy to throw in a PR or something for it if that's easy

Perhaps "stupid" question... but... when I use Link Registry, and add my private Docker Hub account, on the last page there is "Make account Public
Means that anyone can search & deploy private repositories from this account" -- so is "anyone" referred to all users within the SwarmPit on my installation, or "anyone"using SwarmPit in the world?
Pavol Noha
@nohaapav
@stefandevo Make it public means that every user of particular instance of swarmpit can list images from your linked registry and create service by using these

@stefandevo
thanks @nohaapav - thought so, but was not sure :-)

Is Swarmpit development still active? Latest version is 13 months old and the latest commit is 7 months old
Pavol Noha
@nohaapav
@diegomvo_twitter Well the swarm development is not really rocket fast so there is no urge to push development .. Development is still active but Swarmpit team was busy with other projects in past few months ..
Diego Vilar
@diegomvo_twitter
@nohaapav Not complaining, Pavol. Just curious. We've been having some shortcomings with Portainer and I'm evaluating other solutions. I appreciate many advanced features Swarmpit offer that are just not present int Portainer, but it lacks some useful others others (terminals and volume contents browsing comes to mind right now). So I was just wandering if there is a future for it or if the team had dropped it.
Pavol Noha
@nohaapav
@diegomvo_twitter Understood. We're just busy with some other more profitable projects as Swarmpit is fully OS project with no serious fund or subscriptions as e.g. Portainer. We're hoping that community will help us to develop new features but none of this happens so it's really up to us to push this product forward. But we still actively using it for our customers, internal infrastructure etc ..

Hey there, I have an issue where it doesn't show node statistics. I am running the manager on aws so I am wondering if I haven't opened a port necessary for such stats to be shown
kiska3
@kiska3
I've got stats working, by telling aws that all traffic is accepted
That isn't an optimal solution
