Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
is there a way to see all keybinds on mu4e?
i don't know how to mark all as read -.-
Moesasji
@moesasji
@TheBB It didn't work because i only replace require by use-package. I missed that I also need remove the quote in front of mu4e-contrib. Now it works as expected.
Aron Gabor
@ashnur
I am trying to figure out what's my actual problem is. For example I had some fuzzy search open file set up before which I can't find now because I haven't needed it in a while
i remember it was set on C-x f
but that freezes emacs to a halt now
Fabien Dubosson
@StreakyCobra
@AlejandroCatalina Usually I do SPC : mu4e- and navigate in the list.
Aron Gabor
@ashnur
i wonder how much time i would have to spend with the internals of emacs so these things wouldn't be this opaque for me. i don't think this is an issue with emacs
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
that's nice, thanks @StreakyCobra
;)
emacs takes some time to customize
i change my theme and a lot of config every now and then, so it takes time
but also saves a lot of it
Aron Gabor
@ashnur
i would change it too if I knew how :D
luxbock
@luxbock
SPC hk shows you a which-key view of all key-bindings
Aron Gabor
@ashnur
i feel that spacemacs is an aircraft carrier and i am playing table tennis on the deck as a freerider
Eivind Fonn
@TheBB
Unfortunately we don't have any achievements for most colorful analogy.
But I like it. :-)

@AlejandroCatalina
xddddd :+1:
luxbock
@luxbock
is there a key to clear the input in Helm?
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
@luxbock, you say you're proficient on clojure, right?
luxbock
@luxbock
@AlejandroCatalina yeah for some definition of proficient :)
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
yeah right, you work with clojure or you became proficient on your own free time?
luxbock
@luxbock
@AlejandroCatalina I have never had a job programming (or doing anything really) but I've been working on a personal project for the past few years using Clojure
and then some random side projects as well
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
so your suggestion to master it would be just to use it, what seems natural xd
Alex Coventry
@coventry
Switching from holy emacs to spacemacs/evil... Just read about visual mode in the context of vim and vim registers. Having made a selection in spacemacs with visual mode, how do I go about putting that in the emacs kill ring or a register?
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
but i don't get to have so many ideas to let me use clojure
luxbock
@luxbock
yeah, and to find something you are passionate about
I used to play poker for a living, and still sort of make money from it, so I've been working on a Clojure program that lets me do some analysis I could not have done before
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
@coventry, using y you yank it, and using d you delete
oh that's nice
so i'll look for some projects to use clojure :P
luxbock
@luxbock
it was rather ambitious to start off, since I hadn't done any coding in so many years (learned Pythong when I was 12 but then just kind of gave up on it) but because it's something I find very interesting then that has kept the flame going
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
yeah
Alex Coventry
@coventry
Thanks.
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
i am studying in college, computer science, so programming is not an issue for me, the issue is to find something interesting to do
and have the time to do it
this year i'm beginning to have some free time
so i learned clojure
Alex Coventry
@coventry
There are so many interesting things to do if you're not worried about them also being useful. :)
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
i don't really care wether they are useful or not hahah
luxbock
@luxbock
definitely, my goal is to finish this project and maybe try to make some money from it, and then spend some time exploring things that I find interesting
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
yeah, i hope you can do it
i also have in my to-do list to seriously program elisp
luxbock
@luxbock
Elisp is the only other language I've written more than 1k lines of code in :P
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
i know lisp (some varieties of it) but, as with clojure, never finally wrote anything
i've written mostly C, Java, Python, Common Lisp
and haskell, but not so many
