Eivind Fonn
@TheBB
@toshism Yes, but the right part of .spacemacs?
Tosh Lyons
@toshism
in dotspacemacs/user-config
Eivind Fonn
@TheBB
@toshism Okay, don’t do it there. It should be in dotspacemacs/init already, you just need to change the default.
Xi Xiao
@Xixiao007
-20C in helsinki today, not code at all, no
Eivind Fonn
@TheBB
user-config runs too late, the font is set already by then
Tosh Lyons
@toshism
ah..... heh, thanks!
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
fuck men
-20C
that's not nice
Tosh Lyons
@toshism
doh, and there it is... thanks @TheBB
Xi Xiao
@Xixiao007
@zhuhaow you may have a try in another machine? or if you have your .spacemacs shared in github or something, I could use it and see if it works on my end
luxbock
@luxbock
if anyone else is curious about the keybindings available in Helm, SPC hdK RET helm-map does the trick
Eivind Fonn
@TheBB
@toshism That goes for any variable starting with dotspacemacs by the way. :-)
Tosh Lyons
@toshism
good to know, thanks
Ning Xu
@xuning97
Let me try as well.

This works fine for me.
Toggle with SPC o f
Kreisleriana
@Kreisleriana
having trouble with inline images in org buffers. They do show up when evaluating the buffer using (org-display-inline-images t t). However, running C-c C-x C-v on a buffer showing the links to the files results in “no images to display inline”. It is the same org buffer, hence file type is okay, links work when clicked. But how do I toggle the display of linked images?
Ning Xu
@xuning97
@TheBB still trying to find a way to show which function in the mode line and found your previous reply
Xi Xiao
@Xixiao007
@AlejandroCatalina look at here , http://www.wunderground.com/fi/helsinki

@ashnur
SPC f f works
Ning Xu
@xuning97
@TheBB spacemacs|define-mode-line-segment was said to be void
Kreisleriana
@Kreisleriana
OS X 10.11 running emacsmac-port and the v0.105.4 spacemacs BTW
Aron Gabor
@ashnur
well, it almost works, not quite
Xi Xiao
@Xixiao007
@xuning97 have you tried spaceline-define-segment?
Christoph Paulik
@cpaulik
Anybody here that uses the rust layer?
Xi Xiao
@Xixiao007
@xuning97 what you said sounds like the obsolete function name
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
i guess you should pass the right ars to spaceline-define-segment too, which i don't know xd
Eivind Fonn
@TheBB
@xuning97 Yeah, we use spaceline now.
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
anyone got a example of using spaceline-define-segment to create a new section in the spaceline?
Eivind Fonn
@TheBB
@xuning97 But… I just implemented it upstream anyway XD. Update packages in a few hours and it should work.
TheBB/spaceline@e140876
@AlejandroCatalina There are tons of examples here: https://github.com/TheBB/spaceline/blob/master/spaceline-segments.el
Ning Xu
@xuning97
@TheBB @AlejandroCatalina @Xixiao007 thanks
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
cool thankns
Ning Xu
@xuning97
@TheBB from the spaceline description, I thought it’s mainly an extracted part of spacemacs
Alejandro Catalina
@AlejandroCatalina
going to class, see you later
Eivind Fonn
@TheBB
@xuning97 It is. I had to change the names though.
I can't call it spacemacs something if it's not part of Spacemacs.
Ning Xu
@xuning97
@TheBB but at the same time, there are functions defined in spacemacs start with spaceline-xxx
Eivind Fonn
@TheBB
There are? Where?
Ning Xu
@xuning97
@TheBB spaceline-define-segment?
Eivind Fonn
@TheBB
That's not defined in Spacemacs.
Ning Xu
@xuning97
it’s shiped with spacemacs as one layer?
Eivind Fonn
@TheBB
Maybe you're confused because Spacemacs uses that package... but it's still not part of the Spacemacs source code. Same with all the other packages that Spacemacs uses (helm, company, you name it).
Ning Xu
@xuning97
I don’t know when did I installed space line :-)
Eivind Fonn
@TheBB
Spacemacs installs hundreds of packages for you. Spaceline is one of them.
Ning Xu
@xuning97

yeah, so for the introduction This package provides features for three kinds of users.

You just want to use the Spacemacs mode-line theme and forget about it.
You want to use something similar to the Spacemacs mode-line theme, but with a handful of easy tweaks.
You want an easy-to-use library for building your own mode-line from scratch, and you think the Spacemacs theme looks good.

Eivind Fonn
@TheBB
Yeah... Spacemacs falls more or less into the first category.
Ning Xu
@xuning97
It seems an extraction from spacemacs mode-line, for some user who doesn’t use spacemacs :-)
