@fran-penedo Here SPC w m also does not restore when treemacs is active
oh ok, I don't use treemacs so never realized
Haha... me neither... just quickly tested it now
Does anyone know what setting or settings I would need to adjust so that the current block scope indication also increases the size of the currently highlighted delimiters in addition to changing the color?
Hi I got this bug ``` Auto-evilification could not remap these functions in map ‘edebug-mode-map’:
‘edebug-Go-nonstop-mode’ originally mapped on ‘G’ ``` and says my spacemacs might not work properly. How do I fix this
luyangliuable: those two issues should not be related AFAIK, please check SPC bm for any error messages
Loading /home/luyang/.spacemacs.d/init.el (source)...done
(Spacemacs) Error in dotspacemacs/init: Attempt to set a constant symbol: nil
I am not sure how to debug this
bisect the error by commenting out half of your own config
and then progressing
I see thanks
other than that: if you dont' have any sensible things in there, probably best put it into a paste bin and dump the link in here
How do I do "Show current project file in treemacs"?
is there a way to take the current region and make it active (highlighted like in transient mark mode)
@tanj There is the activate-mark function, but you must make a command for it yourself. Alternatively you can type g v, which in many cases (or maybe all cases) does the same...
Hi guys. Here is my current setup: Remote linux machine where all stuff happens. Local windows machine currently running vscode, using ssh I work on remote the files. Can I replace vscode with windows emacs, and add spacemacs, and connect to remote machine and setup project there? Fyi i have ssh key, not password for connecting remote machine
And pls dont suggest cygwin, I really prefers non emulated emacs build
@idanre1:matrix.regev.tk I have no experience with working on remote machines using emacs, so maybe someone else can give more useful advice. But I guess you should be able to do that by just installing Emacs for windows (and add Spacemacs configuration to get Spacemacs). On the other hand I've found that the best Emacs experience on 'windows' is provided by WSL i.c.m with some x-server. It worked great here. If you are interested in that, then you can find very useful instructions here
is it just me or java layer docs is out of sync with actual functionality. e.g. "SPC m g a : Search type in project " is not actually implemented

<dokma> I have (spacemacs/toggle-semantic-stickyfunc-globally-off) at the very end of my dotspacemacs/user-config but it does nothing. Stickyfunc is still on after startup. But! If I C-x C-e on (spacemacs/toggle-semantic-stickyfunc-globally-off) it does turn the stickyfunc off. So it does not work on startup but it does work when evaluated manually. What could cause that? My .spacemacs: https://pastebin.com/6vzh2vGN
Spacemacs does not work for me. I've tried on two systems, NixOS 21.05 with GNU Emacs 27.2 and CentOS 7.9 with GNU Emacs 27.1, following the github README. There are lots of warnings in Compile-Log, but no errors as far as I can see. On restart, I get to the Spacemacs logo screen, but SPC gives me "Buffer is read-only: #<buffer *spacemacs*>". How can I test whether the installation is complete? How can I switch to a mode where the SPC combinations are accepted?
@dokma I don't have that function, so I'm guessing it's defined in an extra package, meaning it's probably not defined at that point. Surround it with (with-eval-after-load 'package-where-its-defined)
