@shivamvats in the approach here: https://github.com/shivamvats/sympy/blob/sparse_power_series/sympy/series/formal.py, how do you store a type? As some kind of an integer, and then you dispatch on it?
in Python, I think we store the type itself in the Polynomial, don't we?
I think that corresponds to templates in C++

self.ring stores the ring of coeffs. The series class makes use of the operations already defined in polys.
The type is stored in the ring layer. However, we could do away with it and store it directly, as you said. We don't really need to use integers in Python.
Should the application title in Melange start with "CSymPy" or "Sympy"?
