Ping @/all reminder that the writing assignment deadline is tomorrow. We are moving fast, so if it doesn't get in, it may end up getting cut from the paper.

Are we using the listings package? I didn't see it anywhere

minted is the best package for syntax highlighting

I hope so.
I'll work on the paper today. I'll add minted if it seems appropriate.

Are we following a convention for abbreviating or spelling out dimensionality, ie "3D" vs "three dimensional".
?
I'm asking for a friend :)

at this point we aren't following any conventions for anything
but the writing will need to be standardized across the whole paper

Well, is there are way that you would prefer, @asmeurer, as fearless leader?

is the fear that 3D is too colloquial?

No, not really. we might just want to state that it is an abbreviation upon the first occurrence
As would be done with other abbreviations

what is it in reference to? The vector module?

Yeah, but there are other cases too, such as geometry is specifically for 2D constructs

I don't know man. My feeling is that people know what 3D stands for. "3D (three dimensional)" would look kind of dumb.

I think 3D is nicer personally because it is more concise. But the abbreviation usage goes the other way, "three dimensional (3D)"
