@cod3monk
Is there a simple way to find and divide all terms of relationals by the gcd, if one exists?
This should turn 64*M*N - 104*N - 56 <= 11796480 into 8*M*N - 13*N - 7 <= 1474560. simplify does not do the trick.
mohit
@mohitacecode
maybe something like this.
>>> a = 64*M*N - 104*N - 56 - 11796480 <= 0
>>> factor(a)
8*(8*M*N - 13*N - 1474567) <= 0

@asmeurer
@danshapero how should it simplify?
Daniel Shapero
@danshapero
@asmeurer the result I get is
>>> 0.5*(KroneckerDelta(i, k)*x[j] + KroneckerDelta(j, k)*x[i])*M[i, j]
which mathematically I know to be equal to 0.5 * (M[k, j] * x[j] + M[i, k] * x[i]) at the very least
of course I haven't put in any assumptions about M being self-adjoint so I'm not expecting anything there
Aaron Meurer
@asmeurer
oh I see it simplifies when you expand it
I'm not sure if there is code in sympy to simplify deltas like this yet.
it's possible there is and I am just not finding it
I would open an issue about it
Daniel Shapero
@danshapero
ok, thanks!

@asmeurer Does travis ci bulid fail when we have unused imports?
Smit Lunagariya
@Smit-create
Yes, it does.
Unused imports as well as for unused variables too.

I have made some changes in pr #18681and made a new pr #18947, if someone could look at both of them then it would be really helpful

@asmeurer Why does all PRs cannot be merged even if they pass the tests? Is there any problem with the bots?
Moses Paul R
@iammosespaulr
@sylee957 if you're referring to #18947 ... I don't think it passed the tests
  tests finished: 4675 passed, 1 failed, 183 skipped, 127 expected to fail,

1 expected to fail but passed, in 1238.67 seconds

DO *NOT* COMMIT!
btw ... Hi everyone !! ... I'm Moses and I'm new here :smile:

Can someone please review my PR sympy/sympy-live#144 for issue sympy/sympy-live#121. Interpreter and docs both are working.

@Adarshg315

Hi I am Adarsh Goyal, CSE JUNIOR at SVVV, Indore, MP(INDIA).

I have been working in python for the last 2.5 years and have a good hand at this.

My mathematical education is college level. I have completed discrete mathematics and other higher mathematics courses in the 3 year journey of my college and have a particular expertise in solving differential equations and Calculus Problems.

I am new to Symbolic Mathematics.
I had never used sympy or sympy-live, but used wolfram alpha many times.
my native language is Hindi and I also speak English and Understand Spanish.

I would ❤ to contribute to open source

I am having some trouble in computing the denominator i.e. pi(gamma(nk +1)). Could someone help me out?

who might be the potential mentor for 'SymPy Live and SymPy Gamma (on Google App Engine)' ? @sylee957 @asmeurer ?
Gagandeep Singh

It looks like heavy projects are facing problems on travis. I have one project which is able to run the tests as it's in a very light weight stage of development.

I'm planning to work on Advancing SymPy Live and SymPy Gamma using NLP and others. I've also submitted a proposal draft. @probablementors do review it :smile:

Hello all, could anyone please review my proposal draft here?
https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/GSoC-2020-Application-Omar-Wagih:-Benchmarks-and-performance

I'm also looking to figure out who is going to be the mentor for this project as there isn't one listed, thank you.

Aaron Meurer
@asmeurer
you should go into more detail about how we will run the benchmarks. presently we have benchmarks but they aren't run very often

A small query. Is contributing to SymEngine mandatory for a SymEngine project proposal? Are contributions to sympy enough?
Gagandeep Singh
@czgdp1807
There should be at least one PR merged to main SymPy repo(which is Python one) for your proposal to be considered. However, if you are going to work on SymEngine then having contributions in that project will let the mentors know, your familiarity with the code base which is in C++ which in a way will reflect chances of passing the evaluations and the program itself.

Can anybody please review this PR sympy/sympy#18609 ITS OPEN since way long back
Arpan Chattopadhyay
@Arpan612
@czgdp1807 But sir, nothing mandatory right?

I mean google has the mandatory condition for at least a commit in sympy repo...It does not exist for SymEngine, right?
