I’m using it with jspm and it works
you just have to specify some specific options
Sharon (Sean) Rolel
@Mosho1
Jun 04 2015 15:11
it's supposed to be enabled by default in babel

"blacklist": []
it is blacklisted in systemjs
add this option and you should be good to go

Out of curiosity, where to find the details on the new System.register spec, and why new?
Guy Bedford
@guybedford
Jun 04 2015 15:50
thanks everyone. @Mitranim there's no new System.register spec, its just the same but split into register and registerDynamic

@guybedford I think Rob Eisenberg mentioned that something in the loader spec needs changing, was curious if this is related
Guy Bedford
@guybedford
Jun 04 2015 16:25
@Mitranim ah right, no that's unrelated and will be a separate patch

@guybedford Is jspm/npm#52 solved with the wildcard addition to v0.17.0?
Guy Bedford
@guybedford
Jun 04 2015 18:38
Unfortunately not, this is a two-step process to upgrade in jspm
The new jspm beta is on the SystemJS deprecation paths first
next step will be to upgrade to new configurations which will solve that issue

Question
How would I use jspm to install an npm repository that produces a css file, and then have systemjs load it?
Davis Kim
@davis
Jun 04 2015 22:47
@blittle this was always an interesting issue i had when using bootstrap for example
(in npm/browserify land)

@guybedford nice work on .17!
Bret Little

Jun 04 2015 22:55
@davis it works super easily in webpack
was hoping for an easy/quick solution with jspm
but none so far
Davis Kim
@davis
Jun 04 2015 22:55
webpack has nice things too

@blittle in jspm this is via jspm install css, then import 'bootstrap/css/bootstrap.css!'
we used to bundle the css with bootstrap
but many users want to customize the styles, and was difficult to unbundle
so we're holding back on automatic inclusion until there's an unbundling of the css use case which we're working on
Bret Little
@blittle
Jun 04 2015 23:07
we have an internal css lib
that we version on npm
Guy Bedford
@guybedford
Jun 04 2015 23:07
note this is all jspm specific, so is best to discuss in the jspm group
Bret Little
@blittle
Jun 04 2015 23:07
that just produces a css file

Guy Bedford
@guybedford
Jun 04 2015 23:08
so were you looking at loading that as well via system?

yes
Guy Bedford

Jun 04 2015 23:08
same idea applies via css plugin
handles builds etc
although still needs more work
glenn madden is doing some work in this area as well
Bret Little

Seriously giving jspm/systemjs a shot over webpack
cause I feel like it is the future
bundling will be out of date in a few years
