I put up two scripts for creating the database and the hdfstore
Creating the database takes quite a while, so I uploaded one as well
So, to create the hdfstore you can use the database and the script
Wolfgang Kerzendorf
@wkerzendorf
@mishinma there should be one on github

@wkerzendorf Hi, sorry for the late reply. I opened a PR tardis-sn/carsus-db#13

@yeganer
@mishinma Hey, as you know, I'm reviving the carsus project and so far I have three problems. The exported database from carsus-db does not work with the PR version of tardis (tardis PR #692), I am not able to ingest iron from chianti (memory issues) and the script you posted above which is also in carsus-db/scripts does not work to write AtomData to an hdf file. I'm mainly interested how did you manage to create the database in carsus-db because my pysqlite always throws that OperationError #103.

@yeganer
@wkerzendorf @mishinma Please review #107 and #108. They should both be done in my opinion. I'll look into the failing tests of #107 later.

@negswell
hi , so i managed to write a general parser for the headers which finds all the keys on its own from the datasets , and returns the keys along with it's values , so there is no need to explicitly specify the keys in each parser as it is being currently done . i will make a pr soon
it also solves the to-find more keys problem which exists

@negswell
made a new new pull request , please review #163 , i have made changes to the parsing logic and optimized it .

[nishant-sachdeva] Hello All,
My name is Nishant Sachdeva. I'm from the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad. I am regular in python, and want to start working on a warm up level for G-soc in the upcoming year.
Am willing to work on anything within my capacities.

[nishant-sachdeva] I was here last year as well ( didn't make much of a mark tho ) and am aware of the Intro challenge (https://colab.research.google.com/drive/1CALFsRDdVQsQDlWew\_-f3VBJb7yU2DKb\) .

I will start with it, to get acquainted with the environment.
Please give further pointers, on how to get ahead and make further contributions.

[shrey27tri01] Hello all!
I am Shrey Tripathi, from the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore, India. I am well-versed in Python, and I would like to contribute to TARDIS as much as I can. I haven't completed the intro challenge yet, but I will start working on it.
Thank you.

[Wolfgang Kerzendorf, TARDIS] Please look through the projects for last year and see what you can do about this.

[ryzbaka] @wkerzendorf , I noticed that the Dask project did not get picked up this year, anyway I can still contribute to the same?
[ryzbaka] I have already completed the intro challenge and created a PR for the dask and numba projects.

[shrey27tri01] Hi,
I didn't know where to ask this question, hence am posting it here.

I was facing an issue while installing TARDIS for development.
After activating the conda environment and following the installation instructions for development here, on running python setup.py develop, I get the following error:

building 'tardis.montecarlo.montecarlo' extension
error: unknown file type '.pyx' (from 'tardis/montecarlo/montecarlo.pyx')

I tried troubleshooting this error from here, but to no avail. I also tried building the tardis/montecarlo/montecarlo.pyx by hand, but the error still persists.
Any help here would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Shrey

[wkerzendorf] can you post this on the issues list - and show us what you did
[shrey27tri01] @wkerzendorf , sure.
Um, you meanthere, right?
[Wolfgang Kerzendorf, TARDIS] yes
