interact("someEle").draggable({
  onstart: function (e){
    this.draggable({
      snap:{
        //lots o' fun stuff
      }
    });
  }

});
targets, offsets and relativePoints seem to be updating properly.

Well, offsets and relativePoints can be updated before onStart, but not in onStart. I have another event that fires before any drag handlers fire in my application that I'm able to use.
