    Maybe have a go at rewriting the AudioAPI.js file - it's quite messy and needs some ES6 magic :-)

    Sounds good! If I happen to have any questions as I take a look at this stuff, would this be the place to ask or is there somewhere better?
    David Howden
    @dhowden
    The slack room is better (we get push notifications from that!)
    I've added you.
    Chris Trotman
    @solarnz
    they only go to slack because you haven't configured github to also send them here.....
    David Howden
    @dhowden
    Yes, that too. But I meant desktop notifications :-)
    (of chats etc)
    Chris Trotman
    @solarnz
    Like the settings menu for notifications in the top right?
    David Howden
    @dhowden
    Bah, I don't want chrome notifications, I want OS X notifications!
    David Howden
    @dhowden
    (also I have slack open for lots of other things)

    hey - very interesting project. have you considered using jteeuwen/go-bindata or shurcooL/vfsgen to bundle the frontend assets? would allow to be independant of the location of ui/static
    David Howden
    @dhowden
    @cryptix I've added you to the slack room (which is invitation only!)
    @cryptix Yes, I did look into those (and there is a camlistore subpackge that also does something similar).
    I seem to remember that they didn't allow for nice integration with the stuff I was wanting todo (have the files served from source in dev, and from code in "dist" mode), though I could be wrong.
    Henry
    @cryptix
    i use shurcool/vfsgen for that exactly
    it serves http.Dir(./static) in dev and embedded in a production build
    David Howden
    @dhowden
    Oh, excellent.
    Wait, maybe I only looked at go-bindata
    Henry
    @cryptix
    vfsgen is 'fairly' new
    also makes the whole project 'go getable' which is quite nice for new users :)
    David Howden
    @dhowden
    Yes, it does look good.
    I was just going to implement my own when I got to it :-P
    Henry
    @cryptix
    hehe :)
    David Howden
    @dhowden
    I have started looking into getting a better "dist" build running, and hadn't decided what to do really.
    Henry
    @cryptix
    uhm.. where did you invite me to slack? (maybe my mail servers are layz)
    David Howden
    @dhowden
    Ah, I added your email (as given on github.com)
    Henry
    @cryptix
    well, you could use go-bindata and just run 'npm install && gulp' with go generate
    go-bindata can also generate 'dev mode' code but i like vfsgen more because it reuses http.Fileserver for everything
    David Howden
    @dhowden
    Yeah, I would use it for that reason
    (http.Fileserver is how I was doing stuff too)
    Henry
    @cryptix
    so you get a real virtual fs and not that pseudo Asset(fname) []byte
    David Howden
    @dhowden
    Yes
    That was my plan for it
    Henry
    @cryptix
    cool :)
    David Howden
    @dhowden
    I also wanted to add the trace stuff in, so that you can give a better error message then 404 not found when the file isn't there
    Henry
    @cryptix
    re slack: nice okay - thats just hung up in pop3<>fetchmail<>imap limbo for a couple of minutes
    David Howden
    @dhowden
    Ahhh, no worries
    I'm afraid that I'm disappearing very soon (on Sydney time!)
    Will read messages tomorrow though!
    Henry
    @cryptix
    ah :) no problem
    (germany here)
    g2g soon too so no worries :)
    i'll ping back on slack next. got some other ideas as well for storage and tag indexing as well
    cya @dhowden
    David Howden
    @dhowden
    Oh cool! Thanks, will check back tomorrow before I go to work!
