Is the registration for mentors under TensorFlow still open?
Kshitij Aggarwal
@kshitijaggrwl
Hello everyone.
Can anyone tell me how to get started with the documentation process?
Kaustubh Maske Patil
@nikochiko
Hey there, I want to edit the doc for https://www.tensorflow.org/api_docs/python/tf/bitcast . But it is 'Defined in generated file: python/ops/gen_array_ops.py'.
Any idea on how to proceed.
@kshitijaggrwl , if you want to contribute to the documentation, please go through these guidelines: https://www.tensorflow.org/community/contribute/docs

@nikochiko Thanks a lot.

Is he registration for tensor flow Google code in mentor still open
Billy Lamberta
@lamberta
@nikochiko Yes, those can be difficult to find. Often will just have to search for a string in the tensorflow/tensorflow repo. That one is here: https://github.com/tensorflow/tensorflow/blob/master/tensorflow/core/api_def/base_api/api_def_Bitcast.pbtxt

@nikochiko
@lamberta :+1: Thank you :)

I have already applied for GCI mentor.
What time it will take to arrive invitation for join
Billy Lamberta
@lamberta
@singh728om I wish you luck! But we don't have anything to do with the GCI program

I have a question. it may be silly but I am really curious. Why does link to contribution guidelines on page : https://github.com/tensorflow/tensorflow/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md literally point to itself? Can't we just remove it because the heading itself says the entire doc is contributing guideline :D

@ljwh
Build tf from source on macos is very slow , any suggestion?
Billy Lamberta
@lamberta
@copperwiring I think it was copied over from another guide. But maybe better to mention this page and also point to https://www.tensorflow.org/community/contribute
@ljwh SIG Build is a better place to ask :) https://gitter.im/tensorflow/sig-build
Srishti
@copperwiring
Thanks @lamberta Is it something that requires a PR? Don't know. Also, I have a quick question. Where is the doc locate for : https://www.tensorflow.org/install
Billy Lamberta
@lamberta
Srishti
@copperwiring
Thanks.I did reach there but was unable to finf "Google Colab section"
Can you please help me locate the file by any chance. I see docker, error etc
@lamberta
(but it uses an internal format so you won't be able to preview)
Srishti
@copperwiring
Oh! It's the yaml format. Thanks!

@anigasan
Hello! I am trying to contribute to the API docs. Where do I modify to incorporate usage examples?
Kaustubh Maske Patil
@nikochiko
@anigasan Great to know you want to contribute. For most API symbols, the link to its GitHub source will be present on the docs. However, it will point to its source in the production branch of that version whereas you need to make changes in the master. So just make the branch switch and you can find the source in the same location, a few lines above or below that in the production branch.
Let me know if it's not clear.
The documentation for API symbols (which includes Usage Examples) is inside the docstrings of that particular function. That is why I'm asking you to visit the link to the GitHub source. See the contributing guidelines here: https://www.tensorflow.org/community/contribute/docs
Ananya Gangavarapu
@anigasan
Thanks @nikochiko, I could find Github link for few of the API symbols, but not for all of them. For example https://www.tensorflow.org/api_docs/python/tf/math/logical_not?version=stable does not have any Github link.
Kaustubh Maske Patil
@nikochiko
@anigasan Yes, sometimes it will be difficult to find source to such API symbols. The one for tf.math.logical_not is here: https://github.com/tensorflow/tensorflow/blob/master/tensorflow/core/api_def/base_api/api_def_LogicalNot.pbtxt
Ananya Gangavarapu
@anigasan
Thanks @nikochiko, I'll do a little more research and get back to you
Kaustubh Maske Patil
@nikochiko

hi someone here?
I 'm new to tensorflow and 'm getting difficulty in giving input array
this is the model summary http://dpaste.com/0Q7PHY6

@XtremeGood Hello. This channel is for TensorFlow docs contributors. Best to direct questions about using TF to Stack Overflow :)

@XtremeGood
can I get some info based on loss as nan?
or infinity
what does it mean?
Vishesh Mangla
@XtremeGood
hi can someone suggest a good tutorial on cnn?
I have a non classification problem but tensorflow docs only have that mnist classifier
I want a 16X 2 output layer
Can't find anything on that.
Ananya Gangavarapu
@anigasan
Hello everyone, I was wondering where I can contribute documentation for Swift for Tensorflow.
Vishesh Mangla
@XtremeGood
where can I find how to create a yolo from scratch?It's fine if I can get where to go from VGGNet but the paper says they output a 7X7X 30 tensor. What is the labelled data used?
Vishesh Mangla
@XtremeGood
I have loaded the VGG16 as model from keras.applications and tried to predict and it classifies things fine.
Now I want to modify it to yolo
so I can add that conv block but what should be the output data to minimize the loss against. I have the coordinates in VOC2007 dataset but it also talks about the class probability in each small gridcell once the image is divided.
