@jonpugh can I check the answer to a console question and make decisions about what to do before displaying next questions on the same command?
Jon Pugh
@jonpugh
Sure
Kris Vanderwater
@EclipseGc
k, I've not messed with this before, so... what about the configuration in the Config... I'm feeling like I need that to be variable based upon the project type (at least)
@cause terra (today) assumes a git url on projects, but what if that wasn't the case? if we're validating the configuration then we need to validate by type of project in the config
@jonpugh ^
Jon Pugh
@jonpugh
@EclipseGc yeah... maybe config isn't the best thing for some of the data
I already know we need some kind of "environment metadata" property that will take anything we put in there
so maybe we need something like that for apps too...
although I'm having a hard time seeing how you would create an app without having a git URL :)
I'll keep thinking, though
Kris Vanderwater
@EclipseGc
local directory
remote directory, etc... I mean yeah all those things COULD be substituted by vcs, but I just thought I'd make it generic. Maybe just a "getLocation()" method
EclipseGc @EclipseGc will think about it for a while
afks
Kris Vanderwater
@EclipseGc
@jonpugh @nateswart ok, remind me, why do we have host on project? Shouldn't that be on environment?
Nate Swart
@nateswart
Re: not having a git url - what if you want to set up a playground? Even with a local git repo, you may have not pushed it to a public url yet ...
You called it a "good "hobble-along" until we restructure that more permanently."
:)
Kris Vanderwater
@EclipseGc
@jonpugh yeah I found my my TerraCore branch where I moved that to Environment, but that's for tracking that down for me (I though I introduced it heh)
%s/that's/thanks/
Kris Vanderwater
@EclipseGc
man, that's the worst sentence I've attempted to type in a long time...
Nate Swart
@nateswart
sorry all, I got sidetracked on another project this weekend
Matt Glaman
@mglaman
What's the easiest way to recover from a botched app add? getting "child node name at path.." errors
Jon Pugh
@jonpugh
Hi Matt, you can manually edit the file ~/.terra/terra
Matt Glaman
@mglaman
@jonpugh just found it :D
officially moving away from Aegir to Terra for client dev sites.
Jon Pugh
@jonpugh
Whoah.
:D
Matt Glaman
@mglaman
Aegir wasn't suiting our needs. But it was easier than nothing
Jon Pugh
@jonpugh
You mean for local development?
Matt Glaman
@mglaman
@jonpugh that, and beta sites
Jon Pugh
@jonpugh
Very cool... We hope terra will be the new backend to aegir4, so you might end up using it again in the future ;)
Matt Glaman
@mglaman
It'd be neat if you could force an environment to stick on a branch (not need to re-type it each deploy)
Jon Pugh
@jonpugh
@mglaman could you submit an issue?
Matt Glaman
@mglaman
done
Matt Glaman
@mglaman
yay first PR
Jon Pugh
@jonpugh
@mglaman great work on #90! Merged it, welcome to the team :D
Matt Glaman
@mglaman
@jonpugh thanks :D
Jon Pugh
@jonpugh
@mglaman Just hit a point where I'd -y to work... regular Question objects
Matt Glaman
@mglaman
@jonpugh totally missed itter notification. Can look into it.
aschmoe
@aschmoe
@jonpugh any documentation, examples or action around using xdebug with terrra?
Jon Pugh
@jonpugh
Hey @aschmoe ! not yet...
aschmoe
@aschmoe
I'll do some poking then
Jon Pugh
@jonpugh
@jlyon posted an issue requesting it to be added to the main container, but I replied saying that we should have a separate dev container for that
See terra-ops/docker-drupal#4
Would love your help making this happen :)
There are containers that have it installed, like the one by blinkreaction
i have to go, thanks ahead of time for your help ;)
Jeff Lyon
@jlyon
@jonpugh the terra e:domains stuff looks awesome, but I'm having a couple issues setting it up. Do you have ~10m this afternoon for a quick call to go over that and environment:test + github webhook integration?
Jon Pugh
@jonpugh
yes!
