@kkcthans re: versions, thunder-python @ 1.0.0 should definitely be on pip, i also see that it's not showing up in searches, but apparently a lot of people have had issues with packages and/or versions not appearing in search https://bitbucket.org/pypa/pypi/issues/326/some-packages-not-showing-up-when
if you go here you should see it https://pypi.python.org/pypi/thunder-python
you might want to first pip uninstall thunder-python and then pip install again to be sure
i just did that on a fresh machine and got 1.0.0
@kkcthans re: displacements, i'm fairly certain the code now does register every frame, if the displacement is more than half the total size then it wraps around, but if it's less than half the total size it applies the estimated displacement directly
