Well, none of the fields' "title" column checkboxes were checked, so I checked one, but still get the error message. (I was getting two of that message.)

Hello folks. A few years back I upgraded my tiki as far as v12.14 before it wouldn't support the theme of choice, and I left it at 12.14.
Today I'm willing to let go of the theme and get caught up.
I thought that I could go by LTS steps, and have downloaded and placed v15, 18, and 21 ready to go in dedicated directories.
I hoped that I could use tiki-install.php with each new version to successively bring my database up to date .... from the command line (as I'm doing this in a debian linux VPS with root privs)
--understanding that the step through v15 will be inoperable under php7.4 which is current on my system.
Well, the installer didn't respond well to being run from the command line, or from being called by lynx in the terminal.
Am I going to have to set this process up for remote access via apache? (which I can do, but was hoping to avoid that configuration setup)

Even 18 and 21 do not work with php7.4 iirc

Check the requirements on the doc.tiki.org please
Upgrade via command line should be no problem then if you have all the requirements checked.

Maynard Riley: you should be ok to upgrade from 12.x straight to 21 (or 24 if you're adventurous) in a single upgrade step, apart from remaking any custom themes as you said, no need to go via 15/18/21 as far as i know
Let us know how you get on!

I stumbled on https://boosted.orange.com/ "Orange Boosted is a Bootstrap based, Orange branded accessible and ergonomic components library."

MIT-licensed so could be added to the package.

I went from boosted.orange.com to orange.com which seems to be a large corporate site but I couldn't really get a handle on their business area.

I hope one day, a sizable portion of the active developer community runs sites from trunk.

I did that a long time and currently we again have a provider where I can do this. Actually I tried for a new project and was set off due to PHP8 problems - dependencies, inconsistencies - and I hope soon, I wil be able to restart productive testing ;-)
I love the adrenaline of that approach.

Yes. France Télécom renamed as Orange when they were privatized. So their area of activity is huge. I get my fibre internet connection through them for instance. I had no idea they produced bootstrap themes 😄

One theme at least.
The Orange theme.
Nice that they made it FOSS. I like the theme pretty much.

@gary_c-l:matrix.org What do you think the effort would be to include the Orange theme into Tiki?

I got the files and tried a quick theme just using all their scss files, etc. but there were compiling errors which would take time to figure out. I also thought about just getting style details from their final css and using those to make a new theme to get the look.
I would be tempted to make a parent theme with orange as one of several different-color options, replacing orange with other equally vivid colors.

Following up on my upgrade from Tiki-12 .... (to 21.5) .... yes it went quite smoothly overall. I instructed the installer to do what it wanted with htaccess; and I don't know just what it did, but I did have to link _htaccess to .htaccess in order to gain access.
Now I've potentially many hours of opportunity to rebuild a look&feel and explore/test new features ;-}
Good job, devs! Thanks!

If anyone is interested in Docker for testing or development. I made a docker-compose stack with choosable install of master or 24.x and a .env file to setup all credentials and the letsencrpt domain (if used with jwilder reverse proxy or similar. My first thingy after returning to tiki. https://gitlab.com/aevermann/docker-tikiwiki
Its loosly based on fabios work but generation of local.php and how db setup is handled is different. Dont know if I've done it "right" :-) but for me this works better as the available ones.

looks somewhat like Gema (for the music industry), Dont get the excact point why tiki should need this, as it is for classic copyrighted text. If there is a single author. But the authors in a community share their rights as none of them is a single author. I dont see how vg wort is handling this case.
Just a quick thought.

Anyway, I used https://mdigi.tools/change-color-hue/ to find color variations and plan to make theme options once the orange details are worked out. I'm doing this in a branch 24 Tiki; if all goes well, maybe it can be added to Tiki 25.
The theme does some interesting things like with tabs and dropdowns so is different from Bootswatch themes, for example, and will be a good addition in Tiki I think.

Tiki should have a PluginAccordian.

Like in the tracker properties modal but with wiki plugin syntax like the tabs plugin. In fact maybe PluginTabs could be extended for this ("PluginTabcordian"? ;-) ), although maybe the html is too different so it would be better to start fresh with a separate plugin.

https://getbootstrap.com/docs/4.6/components/collapse/#accordion-example

This is based on BS Cards and it does about the same or similar like a set of FADE plugins, whilst it is quite nice, that in the Accordion always automatically the open card closes when another one is opened.

This is very handy and it is cool for any sort of FAQs or similar.

As far as the scss compiling is concerned, the problem was particular things not defined or mixins not found. This can be fixed by making sure the component scss files are imported in the right order and so on, but I'm not an expert with scss really so for me it's a lot of trial and error, so not the best path if there's a faster way.
(if I understood your question)

It would be very annoying to me if I would need to log out for every registration request validation.
Or maybe I misunderstood what the problem is?

I am also a bit surprised such an important (security wise) task was given to a junior dev... ?

I think, the problem can occur, when you get a validation link as an admin, but you are not logged in when you click on the validation link ... then maybe you get logged in as the validated user ...
