@Umeshagouda Thanks for teh reply. I’m sorry I didn’t give an update, but I was finally able to get it to work using Flexbox. I was applying the align-items: centre; property to the flex-item rather than the flex-container.

I don't suppose anyone could help me with a name for a big project of mine? It uses Bootstrap for Frontend and will be open-source to encourage other to contribute and report bugs. It's basically a file upload system with high end encryption, short links to share with others for direct download, real time chat and just general nice design for displaying files and such. Will also provide a link shortener, and a very secure wallet. Majority of profits will go towards planting trees in the Amazon rainforest.

Hey guys!
I have a div which has the class thumbnail. And inside the div i had put an image and below the image, i have made a div of class caption. But for some reason there seems to extra white spaces on the left and white of the image. The thumbnail usually covers as much as the width of the image will be. But it is giving extra white space to me. I'm not sure why. How do i rectify this?

@Blitzkrieg23 hey, it's a default behaviour thumbnail class (some padding is there). Use img-rounded instead of using img-thumbnail. I hope it will work 🙂

@aka-jain <div class="thumbnail">
<img src="xxxxx.jpg" alt="">
<div class="caption text-center">
xxxxxxxxxx
</div>
</div>
This is an example of what im trying to do
@aka-jain I'm using the thumbnail on the div coz i want the caption inside it too
But my only problem is its giving me extra white space padding on the left and right of the image. I dont want that.

Ohk... Let me check!

Try to override the thumbnail class by giving padding 0... It works. Because that white space is default of thumbnail class.

Try this
.thumbnail {
    position: relative;
    padding: 0px;
    margin-bottom: 20px;
}

.thumbnail img {
    width: 100%;
}

Nope. Still not working.
I'm guesssing it has something to do with how my columns have been arranged

I created a row, a col-md-10 and offset-1. And then put the thumbnail inside it

hey guys , i'm still working on my skills , learning html5 and css3 , do you guys always use frameworks like bootstrap , or you build websites from scratch ??

Hey, if you are a beginner I should suggest you to go from the scratch... As by doing this you will get an idea of how things are really working. After investing enough time on CSS and HTML then you can pick Bootstrap.
