@Dirk71
@yohanboniface Thank you for implementing the position marker and all the work you do for uMap. Really good job!

@Dirk71
@yohanboniface Yohan, the position marker works perfect. But using zoom is not possible when GPS-Localisation is active. Can this be changed?
Yohan Boniface
@yohanboniface
erk, let me check that
Dirk71: I'm not reproducing any issue, so I'm certainly missing something. Can you open an issue to describe it ? Thanks :)
Dirk
@Dirk71
@yohanboniface I have opened an issue (#783) on Github. Sorry, maybe it's not properly described, what I mean.

Hello, is it possible to add a Location to multiple Layers? I'm trying to work with layers like filters, for example I have 5 Layers for weekdays but would also like Layers for colleagues, for example I'd like to see who is where on Monday but also look for all locations of a specific colleague
Dirk
@Dirk71
@helmbrandt I don't see a way to make this working. It would require sublayers and filtering options.
Dirk
@Dirk71
I closed issue #783 because I noticed it has been already addressed by #763

@Dirk71
Login to umap via GitHub does not work.

Hello there! I tried loading this link(http://overpass-api.de/api/interpreter?data=[out:json][timeout:25];(node[“amenity”=”school”]({south},{west},{north},{east});way[“amenity”=”school”]({south},{west},{north},{east});relation[“amenity”=”school”]({south},{west},{north},{east}););out body;>;out skel qt;) on umap to pull out data from overpass but it seems like that it didnt go through. I used osm as its type and ticked on dynamic :(
ockim16
@ockim16

I can share you my secret link so as you can check it

Hi! Does anyone know if uMap supports change tracking and reverting unwanted changes? I have a public map that I'd like people to be able to contribute to as easily as possible but I also want to be able to ensure it stays in a nice state.
Dirk
@Dirk71
@lf- There is a history for layers. Go to the settings of a layer and go to "versions". Here you can restore older versions of a layer.

Hello, I lost access to my map (http://umap.openstreetmap.fr/de/map/hitchbiking-map_473743). I'm pretty sure it was connected to my account (doktorpixel14) but now it seems to be disconnected. Is there a way to reconnect it?

Hi everyone, I have the same issue as @Karthoo ! I went back from holidays and I cannot access the editing panel from my map. I wanted to add new actors but the Editing button seems to have disappeared... can someone help me please? :)

Well I found a solution...I dl the data and created a new map :)

je suis mahdi Hi there, not sure this is right place to ask, so please point me elsewhere in case ... I'm curios if it's possible somehow to use overpass query to import data e.g. once a day my map would run overpass query and import geojson? Alternatively some api, I would run query locally and import it, I'd like to use public umap instance (query returns about dozen entries for my city and will be probably around 50ish when fully mapped in OSM), cheers

@matrixbot
je suis mahdi noticed overpass has possibility of "download/copy as umap remote data url" but no idea how to use it, is there some doc? I read above links in this chat but those don't seem to work either/don't know how to add them to umap, thanks
matrixbot
@matrixbot
je suis mahdi anyway figured how to do it https://hackmd.io/n8IQmvEiTaS-GidYONejUA
Yohan Boniface
@yohanboniface
sounds good, but just a note: "dynamic" is useless in this case, it will reload the data each time the map view change, which only makes sense if the request itself depends on the map view
don't hesitate to share through the wiki https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/UMap
matrixbot
@matrixbot
je suis mahdi Yohan Boniface (Gitter): I have updated the guide, please have a look whether "dynamic" is described correctly
Yohan Boniface
@yohanboniface
humm, which page ? :)

je suis mahdi I'll convert to wiki later once having more feedback
Joost

I've left a comment, mahdi
I'm still not clear what exactly "dynamic" does. Is it really "zoom and we will run the query again" or "move the map to an area you didnt load yet and we will run query again"
Yohan Boniface
@yohanboniface
each time the view change, the query is run again
so if the URL contains parameters, like {bbox} or {lat}, {lng}, {east}, {north} and so on, so the data loaded will be according to the current view
matrixbot
@matrixbot
je suis mahdi just to be super clear is this correct wording then 'note “dynamic” option is not needed for this query as it searches within town boundaries, dynamic is useful for generic query to update when panning the map'? This will go to osmweekly, so don't want to confuse other :)

Yohan Boniface
@yohanboniface
Suggestion: "dynamic" is usefull for queries that contain variables related to the map view (like {bbox}, {east}, {north}, {lat}, {lng}…)
if the URL does not contain any of those variable, then it means that the data this URL will return is always the same, and thus there is no mean to reload it any time the map view changes

eh, I just edited the text, didn't put an "official" comment. My addition is at line 20 in your hackmd

so if the URL contains parameters, like {bbox} or {lat}, {lng}, {east}, {north} and so on, so the data loaded will be according to the current view

even if I just zoom deeper into a bbox that has already been loaded?

Yohan Boniface
@yohanboniface
yes, it's not that smart ;)
if the view change, the request is sent again
Joost
@joostschouppe
oh ok, thanks for clarifying that :)

je suis mahdi I'm thinking of hosting umap on my not-that-much-used-vps, anyone hosting could let me know what's your hdd/db/cpu stats and how many users/maps do you have? thanks
