[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @eyedol nice. I've glanced at waffle before. There are a few other cool tools built on github issues too
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] We used before phab..
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Waffle has some nice tricks though -> "Multiple Repos on a Single Board"
[Henry Addo, Ushahidi] I remember huboard
[Henry Addo, Ushahidi] Yeah that feature is a killer

[Brad Anthony] Hi everyone, long time no chat. I've got a skill testing question for anyone brave enough to take it on.

Re: Sharing data between deployments hosted on primary domain deployment + multiple sub-domain deployments (eg primary = worldwide reports and subdomains targeting to country level reports).

#1: Will it work?

#2: Will it work easily?

Discuss. :-) And thank you muchly.

[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Hey Brad!
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @BradAnthonyGuest2 ^
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] It does.
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] So sharing on v2. There's the original sharing plugin.. which will work but doesn't integrate very deeply
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Theres also: which goes a bit deeper but was built for a few specific deployments so you might hit some bumps along the way

[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] thats what uses it for..
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Each country has a site like:
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] however.. this is pretty much 1 way only. So reports go from country sites -> central site
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] you can't edit them on the central site.
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] But they appear on the map, in listings and have report pages.
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] two way is much more complicated because then you've got to do conflict resolution if it changes at both ends
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] The plugin stores the reports it pulls from other sites completely separately (different DB table etc)
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Not really no.

[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] It doesn't have a built in way to only pull a segment of reports
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Might be able to hack it and add a settings. Its a long time since I read that code.
May 19 2015 21:18
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Not yet.. a cleaner API makes it easier. But editing at both ends is still tricky

[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @AngelaOduor @Jess latest docs are up at

[Jess Shorland, Ushahidi] Thanks, @robbie!
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Need to get John updating that somehow though.
