[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @brianherbert Run gulp build
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] the default gulp task fires build, then watch.. and possibly node server too
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Stayed offline this morning to spend some time with family. I'll probably be doing that a bit for the rest of the week so Kellie can get some rest
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] ^ @all
[Brian Herbert, Ushahidi] I did gulp build but it keeps running
[Brian Herbert, Ushahidi] apparently it's in the gulpfile
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] hrm. gulp build shouldn't do that.. however by default it might be uglify'ing things which makes a build 30s+ long
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] what does your output look like?
[Brian Herbert, Ushahidi] I let it run for maybe half an hour
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] yipes
[Brian Herbert, Ushahidi] then it just sits there waiting
Jul 01 2015 01:51
[Brian Herbert, Ushahidi] same as when I run "gulp" by itself
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] oh wait.. this is the ping codebase? or platform-client?
[Brian Herbert, Ushahidi] ping
[Brian Herbert, Ushahidi] Sorry, crossed streams earlier
[Brian Herbert, Ushahidi] and that wasn't apparent
[Linda Kamau, Ushahidi] that is definitely rollcall
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] welp in that case I think you're right. I'm guessing it never exits because its running watchify
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Passed some time on my flight reorganising docs. I've got a branch set up for migrating docs over from the wiki to now
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] so dev and user docs can all live in 1 place.

[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @all I'm going to start dropping daily updates in hipchat whenever I'm working.. it'd be great if everyone else could too.
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Update for Today :
  • assigning dev tasks to the team
  • starting to catch up with code review
I'm pretty behind on reviews.. sorry! hopefully everyone can keep working on new tasks while I get caught up.
    Plan for tomorrow:
  • code review (allthethings)
  • Get this CSV import thing moved forward: backend tests, and UI.
  • Landing things for release..

for today I’m finishing up the post status thing and starting on the ‘add to collection’ bit - I noticed a separate task come up, but they’re almost the same thing in the original task description, so I was kinda prepped to do it anyway :)

[Jess Shorland, Ushahidi] @robbie yes! Today, I wrote the update to google to hopefully close out the grant and release the remainder of our funding
[Jess Shorland, Ushahidi] Tomorrow: clean up gantt, finish up master v3 feature list, send user site paths sketch to brandon for feedback
Jul 01 2015 21:08
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @hollycorbett excellent :)
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @jess any update on getting data from FP? or other partners?
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @EvanSimsGuest7 waves
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Morning all
[Charlie Harding, Ushahidi] Yay @Jess FTW
[Vaibhav Bhawsar, Ushahidi] Today: working on getting the MVP vis designs out for the bar and timeline views. will share by tomorrow for feedback after running it by Brandon

[Charlie Harding, Ushahidi] I noticed on the V3 demo we don't have an account dashboard like we did in V2, is this intentional so that the public site is the place that you use the tool?
[Charlie Harding, Ushahidi] Different views are seen by different admin rights?
Jul 01 2015 21:40
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @Charlie pretty much. There's an activity dashboard planned.. but post admin views aren't separate in V3.. You just see different controls/content based on your role/permissions

[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @EvanSimsGuest7 awesome work on the data sources settings .. works perfectly.
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] I pushed a fix for the OPTIONS requests to the API .. I'm assuming you hit the same issue there yourself?
Jul 01 2015 23:15
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @sophie data source config is look good
Jul 01 2015 23:26
[Sophie Shepherd, Ushahidi] awesome!
[Sophie Shepherd, Ushahidi] is the uppercase style getting pulled from somewhere?
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] yea.. its using the accordion js for expanding/closing sections.. which appears to have pulled in some styling too
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] I'll have another look
[Sophie Shepherd, Ushahidi] cool - feel free to make me a ticket if you don't want to dive into css
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] I think I can just tweak a few classes and fix it :)
Jul 01 2015 23:37
[Evan Sims] Yo! Glad you're digging the data sources UI :D I did hit that OPTIONS issue Robbie, totally forgot to commit my workaround. Thanks for that.
