@hollycorbett cool thanks :)
@benstoltz Angular can go both ways too.. flexibility can be a curse and a benefit.
managing a good release cycle is going to be challenging I think 3.0 -> 3.1 might be a little messy but hopefully 3.1 on should be pretty stable

@rjmackay Definitely agree. I think there are benefits/detractions to any paradigm. Use what’s best and most applicable for the problem at hand imo. Don’t be wedded to any one system for everything.

[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @seth can we remove the Phab hooks from ushbot and add some github ones? ie. give us a link to issues any time we say #123 ?
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] if thats still running on heroku we have an Ushahidi heroku account we could move it to now

[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] If you haven't already.. I recommend installing 'hub' https://github.com/github/hub
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] gives you better github integration at the command line. So you can do "git pull-request" and create a PR :)
[Jason Mule, Ushahidi] nice!
[Linda Kamau, Ushahidi] awesome

[jorarome] Hi, I'm a newbie on Ushahidi
[jorarome] I installed Ushahidi 2.7.4 I on GNU/Linux Centos7.
[jorarome] I have an issue/msitake/error, please see: https://paste.antagonismo.org/#11oYWoz-6u4fIv3kJUG2vQ. (Sorry my poor english)
[jorarome] I searched on google about this, but I have no results that give me a solution.
[jorarome] In my php.ini's file, open_basedir is set: open_basedir="/home/site/myushahidi-project/public_html/:/var/tmp/".

[jorarome] Please, What recommendations can you give me to solve this error?

[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @jorarome you need to disable open_basedir in your PHP ini
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] ie. remove that setting from the ini file entirely
[Jason Mule, Ushahidi] for some reason creating a vagrant box with the new puppet 4+ fails at migrations...

[jorarome] By removing open_basedir .... did it affect the security of my server?
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @Jason odd.. I might have got the dependencies wrong and run migrations before installing mysql or something
[Jason Mule, Ushahidi] hmm...I noticed I missed this error when I was running it before cp: cannot stat '/exports':...
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] ah :/
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @jorarome I guess so? to be honest I'm not really sure.
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] the only other option is to edit the code and remove the CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION option and see if that works
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] I'm just not sure why that was enabled without diving into the code first
Ushbot
@ushbot
Aug 26 2015 20:42
[jorarome] If I could knew what the directory where CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION comes to writing, I would add in open_basedir
Ushbot
@ushbot
Aug 26 2015 20:49
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] no you can't just add it to the open basedir. CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION just doesn't work at all with open_basedir
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] it makes http requests with Curl follow redirects.. but I because php often treats http requests like file requests it get effected by open basedir (I think)
[jorarome] Ok understood. Thx

[Jason Mule, Ushahidi] @Robbie This is what I am seeing: default: Notice: /Stage[main]/Main/Exec[bin-update]/returns: PHP Warning: require(/var/www/bin/../app/phinx.php): failed to open stream

[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] thats super weird. I don't understand how that require is working for me
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] I'm guess you're phinx build didn't install properly somehow.
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] But still there is no app/phinx.php
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] ah no its symlinked so it does work
