[Will, Ushahidi] @Robbie
Could I get a second set of eyes on the rtd issue - I've tried two distinct approaches and both work locally but fail on rtd
[Will, Ushahidi] the most recent one I've followed is this:
[Will, Ushahidi] I've created a pypi package for our fork of the theme
[Will, Ushahidi] I've set it up to install via requirements.txt and import
[Will, Ushahidi] the build is passing but the theme is not included
[Will, Ushahidi] oh ah I might have found the issue
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] does the pyramid project use rtd? or just sphinx?
[Will, Ushahidi] both actually
[Will, Ushahidi] with it's own custom css
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] so they have
[Will, Ushahidi] I'm going to try changing the naming scheme in the theme.conf css
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] which I suspect does the install for there theme

[Will, Ushahidi] yep we have one of those too
[Vaibhav Bhawsar, Ushahidi] @Robbie woo I'll give it a try. I'm so glad you found the solution. It's been plaguing me
[Will, Ushahidi] the build successfully installs the theme
[Will, Ushahidi] but does not link it into the html
[Will, Ushahidi] however, the exact same setup works without issue locally
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] hrm right
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] <- looks like you already enabled requirement.txt to get that installed?
[Will, Ushahidi] yep
[Will, Ushahidi] I even had the submodule approach working but irrespective it did not include the css
[Will, Ushahidi] I feel there must be something obvious that I'm missing but I think I've gone snowblind

[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] So can you override templates and not CSS? or you can't override either?
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Does the 'print html_theme_path' yield the correct path or not?
[Will, Ushahidi] it gives '/home/docs/checkouts/'
[Will, Ushahidi] which would logically be the write path
[Will, Ushahidi] right even
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] So the custom CSS should be coming from our theme fork?
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Do you custom templates load?
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] s/you/your
[Will, Ushahidi] no, at the moment only the css is being changed
Sep 22 2015 01:37
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Can you drop something basic in a template and see if any of your theme is getting loaded at all?
Sep 22 2015 01:46
[Will, Ushahidi] so locally changes are reflected, the package is load from /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages but I don't see any change to the remote
[Will, Ushahidi] I can't see what the divergence is between the local and remote build they appear to follow all the same steps
[Will, Ushahidi] I can't either see a divergence between the way ours is working and the way pyramids works or indeed when I was using the submodule the difference with celery

[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] ugh
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] sorry I have no idea how to get further.
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] There are some old threads in their github issues.. but I'm not really sure if they're relevant either
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] Fighting off a cold so I'm really struggling to get my brain around that today

[Will, Ushahidi] sure, no prob, I'll poke a bit more tomorrow morning but I want to land the other things first

[Brandon Rosage, Ushahidi] @Robbie @Jess Not sure where to file this news, but I've added three HTML "Email" layouts to the Platform Pattern Library to get us moving on assembling email interactions and notifications:
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] awesome :)
[Jess Shorland, Ushahidi] Good stuff Brandon
