[David, Ushahidi] Hi Ush/ other programmers. All of you have been so helpful in the past... Presently, we've been hitting a wall regarding encryption and we would really appreciate if you could answer RJ's questions... :)
[Jason Mule, Ushahidi] Hi David, RJ What issues are you seeing?
[Rj Quirit, Ushahidi] hello sir... its about the encryption of the password

[Rj Quirit, Ushahidi] php MD5 encryption is not the same as your encryption
[David, Ushahidi] Thanks Jason for responding...
[Jason Mule, Ushahidi] Hi RJ, You don't need to encrypt the password when sending it to the API.
[Jason Mule, Ushahidi] In production environment this should be handled by SSL/HTTPS
[Jason Mule, Ushahidi] Does this answer your question?
[Rj Quirit, Ushahidi] yes sir, when using the website... no need to encrypt...
[Rj Quirit, Ushahidi] but I was told to create a mobile platform
[Jason Mule, Ushahidi] So that should be true on the mobile platform as well.
[Rj Quirit, Ushahidi] I need to match the mobile password encryption to the web platform
[Jason Mule, Ushahidi] the resource that sends the password to the API should not encrypt the password.
