@ushbot hello
Please help me to fix this problem.
I'm currently installing ushahidi on Ubuntu 16.04. when I ran "bin/update", this error message showed up.

[Neil Horning] Are you guys going to support smssync again?
[Nathaniel Manning] We are working on it, but honestly we really need the community to lend a hand. Sms sync makes 0 revenue for us and has no direct funding, so it's essentially just us as open source contributors fixing bugs on our free time
[Nathaniel Manning] That said, we know there is a major p0 bug right now, so we are trying to find some funding to be able to hire a Dev to fix it

[igor.ljubin] we will try to help
[igor.ljubin] (www.totalassessment.net team)
[Nathaniel Manning] That's fantastic
[igor.ljubin] but i can't promise anything
[Nathaniel Manning] We are committed to getting this fixed. We are working hard to get some resources to dedicate to it
[igor.ljubin] we are planning to

[Neil Horning] I also hope you can get some resources dedicated to it. We haven't been able to upgrade smssync for over a year now because it breaks, and the version we're on doesn't send messages consistently.

[Neil Horning] It's unlikely we can justify resources for pushing upstream fixes until we decide on whether we go with 3.x or not.

[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] @willis50317 I think that issue is to do with MySQL 5.7 using more strict date formats. Its a known bug (ushahidi/platform#1177) but we don't have a timeline for a fix right now. The workaround is to either use an older version of mysql (5.6 should work) or to set the mysql mode to allow zero dates.
[Robbie Mackay, Ushahidi] https://www.sitepoint.com/quick-tip-how-to-permanently-change-sql-mode-in-mysql/ explains the workaround and how to change mysql modes

[curtis gebers] It would be nice if you guys had crowdfunding setup for individual upgrades, fixes or features. It seems like there are enough unanswered issues that if reasonably priced some progress could be made.
