Hi,
I’m trying to install Ushahidi V3 zipped release bundle on a shared hosting site. I’ve unzipped and copied the files into the desired location, modified the .env file in the /platform folder and run the database migration command as per instructions on this page: https://www.ushahidi.com/support/install-ushahidi
However when I try to load the site I get a 403 - Forbidden Error: You are not allowed to access this address. I’ve adjusted permissions to 755 for all files but that has not helped.
I don’t have much experience or background in web development – am learning as I go and trying to remain enthusiastic! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jason

[David Losada, Ushahidi] Hi Jason, that error could be for many reasons.. one thing that comes to mind, is the “index.html” file in your webroot?

Hi David. It was not - I copied the folder structure from the zipped release bundle. So I had the index.html file and a bunch of other files and folders in a sub folder called "html". I've just tried moving all of these files and folders into the webroot. Progress it seems - I no longer get the 403 but now I get "Sorry, something went wrong. Try reloading the page."
This is the url if you want to check it out: http://crowdmap.smartharare.org/

[David Losada, Ushahidi] it looks like problems with PHP execution… what are the characteristics of your host? php version, execution mode etc..
