[Anna Iosif, Ushahidi] @bini11 Could you please make sure you have added .env-files to both the client and the api? the .env in the client should contain one single row: `BACKEND_URL=http://192.168.33.110` (or the url your api is at) and you can copy the contents in the .env.example for the .env in the api. Restart the servers and tell me if you get the same problem?

hey! I have still not been able to figure out the SSL error coming up after running the command Vagrant up. The issue is with adding laraval/homestead. Can someone Please guide me?

Hey! @fabsar try running "vagrant box add --insecure laravel/homestead" and if it doesn't work , please post the exact error msg you're getting .
fabsar
@fabsar

I tried that as well. here's the error I am getting on running this command:

==> box: Loading metadata for box 'laravel/homestead'
box: URL: https://vagrantcloud.com/laravel/homestead
This box can work with multiple providers! The providers that it
can work with are listed below. Please review the list and choose
the provider you will be working with.

1) hyperv
2) parallels
3) virtualbox
4) vmware_desktop

Enter your choice: 3
==> box: Adding box 'laravel/homestead' (v7.1.0) for provider: virtualbox
box: Downloading: https://vagrantcloud.com/laravel/boxes/homestead/versions/7.1.0/providers/virtualbox.box
==> box: Box download is resuming from prior download progress
box: Download redirected to host: vagrantcloud-files-production.s3.amazonaws.com
An error occurred while downloading the remote file. The error
message, if any, is reproduced below. Please fix this error and try
again.

[David Losada, Ushahidi] this may actually just be a general protocol error, caused by something closing the connection prematurely (i.e. a firewall) . If you have the curl utility available, you can check if this command doesn’t throw error: `curl -I -L https://vagrantcloud.com/laravel/boxes/homestead/versions/7.1.0/providers/virtualbox.box`
fabsar
@fabsar
Mar 22 17:10
this command isn't throwing an error. But what do I infer from this?
Ushbot
@ushbot
Mar 22 17:11
[David Losada, Ushahidi] mm that there’s nothing messing with the transaction between you and the server that provides this file
[David Losada, Ushahidi] it may be something with the libraries vagrant is using? not sure , the error provides very little information to go with
fabsar
@fabsar
Mar 22 17:13
Then how do I go about fixing this?
Ushbot
@ushbot
Mar 22 17:13
[David Losada, Ushahidi] other vagrant boxes are working fine? i.e. Ubuntu?
fabsar
@fabsar
Mar 22 17:41
no they aren't. Vagrant up is showing the same error for files other than laravel/homestead as well
Ushbot
@ushbot
Mar 22 17:46
[David Losada, Ushahidi] fresh vagrant install?
fabsar
@fabsar
Mar 22 17:46
do I go for the entire installation again?
Ushbot
@ushbot
Mar 22 17:47
[David Losada, Ushahidi] unless it’s what you just have done.. sounds safe enough, maybe it will help
fabsar
@fabsar
Mar 22 17:47
okay I will try that
thanks:)
Ushbot
@ushbot
Mar 22 17:47
[David Losada, Ushahidi] if it’s an old installation of vagrant, SSL libraries in your system may have moved on
fabsar
@fabsar
Mar 22 17:51
vagrant version is up to date
Nidhi Kumari
@NidhiKJha
Mar 22 17:52
@fabsar Retry the "vagrant up "command, it should resume.
if that didn't work try using "vagrant box add --insecure -c laravel/homestead http://atlas.hashicorp.com/laravel/boxes/homestead"
fabsar
@fabsar
Mar 22 17:55
oh yes! it just worked.
Ushbot

[David Losada, Ushahidi] great thumbsup emoji

the other vagrant box worked. i will just try it with laravel/homestead
thanks a lot!
