Answering my own question... One has to select the correct element!

This didn't work, presumably because the class wasn't set in the date picker element

div.input-group.date (data-provide='datepicker')
    input.form-control(type='text')
    div.input-group-addon
        span.glyphicon.glyphicon-th
javascript:
    $('.datepicker').datepicker({ format: "dd/mm/yy" });

This works:

div.input-group.date#datepicker (data-provide='datepicker')
    input.form-control(type='text')
    div.input-group-addon
        span.glyphicon.glyphicon-th
javascript:
    $('#datepicker').datepicker({ format: "dd/mm/yy" });

Hi guys! Has anyone used the datepicker in a Typescript/npm-project? Need guidance on how to import the module.

@deostroll
hi. how do you disable dates lesser than today?
Gregoire D.
@Azaret
Best shot is to use beforeShowDay

Is there anyway to disable datepicker from automatically modifying from date field when user is setting to date field (whilst using date-range construct). I'm trying to support users who insist on typing date directly into text fields.

Morning, im wondering is there a time module in the datepicker ? so i can input DateTime field?
Gregoire D.
@Azaret
not out of the box. but can be done with some tricks I guess
you can generate a picker inside a div and you can bind a function on events when the picker change
so you could make some component with the picker inside it

Can I set the content: to html in the onBeforeShowDay event? So I could return <span class='badge badge-warning'>28</span> instead of just the text for day 28? I've tried this and it just displays 28.

getdate
Hello guys
I'm just confused
how to run getDate
Paul James Sabandal
@paulwthjames_twitter
$("#datepicker").datepicker('getDate')
m.fn.init {context: document, selector: "#coupon-expiry-date"}
It's just like that
I can't get the value

Hello everyone.What do you think about adding typescript types from DefinitelyTyped repo directly to project?
Jeroen Thora
@acrobat
@sutarmin That's a bit out of scope to be honest as we are already struggle to maintain the currently library. It's good that it is available in a separate repo, if you want you can open a PR to add some info about these types and that repo to the docs!
@/all I've just release 1.7.0. See https://github.com/uxsolutions/bootstrap-datepicker/releases/tag/v1.7.0 for the full changelog!

Hi there, any way to find out my version of bootstrap datepicker?
Jeroen Thora
@acrobat
@PandoraStratos_twitter on recent versions of bootstrap-datepicker you can use console.log($.fn.datepicker.version);
if that is not available you can try to look at the comments on top of the js file (maybe it's in there)

I currently don't have the time to manage a new release. But I will try to create one in the next weeks. Ping me again after some time when I didn't do it yet

Hello, I'm working on Ruby on rails and I want to use the format yyyy/mm/dd, do you know how to do it?
Benjamin Audet
@benjaminaudet
Hi ! I'm using boostrap-datepicker and I import it through requirejs. bootstrap-datepicker is in my package.json like this : "bootstrap-datepicker": "^1.7.1"
I import it with const datepicker = require('bootstrap-datepicker');
And of course my npm install is up to date and I have bootstrap-datepicker in my node_modules.
But the problem is : When I import it, the variable const datepicker is an empty object
Someone have an idea ?
Callum Bryant
@Nixes
@acrobat just a friendly reminder that you were planning to create a release soon.

Hi, how do i change or keep the datepicker at the bottom position of the input field. It tends to go at the top depending on how far you have scrolled on your screen
Jeroen Thora
@acrobat
@Nixes thanks for the reminder! I will add it to my todo list and hope to get it out asap!

I just happened to stumble in here from another chat and thought I'd mention while using different date and time pickers in the past, I've found the moment.js library very helpful for a variety of functions having to do with date, time, date manipulation, etc. Definitely helped me out quite a bit with a project I was working on (event manager, call center app, and public scheduling app on the main site to integrate with a CRM). I'm sure this will help someone out, but I'm not sure this is the most appropriate place to post it. https://momentjs.com/
I just think it might work nice with the bootstrap-datepicker if anyone needs to manipulate and store date and time data.
