If "we" are lucky, I should say. lol.

You "we" have been lucky; it works both python2 and 3, through both citeproc and legacy. Thank you. I really appreciated your efforts.

@fmoralesc
Hi
Dmytri Kleiner
@dmytri
I noticed that endash and emdash where not support in conceal mode in vim-pandoc-syntax
I added them to my local version
Felipe Morales
@fmoralesc
I disabled that, it clashed with the tables highlighting
feel free to open a PR if you want, perhaps your version works better than what I had ;)
fmoralesc @fmoralesc goes out for a second
Dmytri Kleiner
@dmytri
doubt it, i just use /--[^-]/ and /---/ so that likely would still clash, does tables highlighting require the tables module or is it built in?
(I suppose there must be a way to distinguish them, otherwise pandoc itself would not work)
Felipe Morales
@fmoralesc
yes, it is built in
i might make those rules opt-in, i guess they clashing will depend on the users documents; i personally have never used tables, for example
Dmytri Kleiner
@dmytri
ok, I submitted a PR, if it's usefull
Felipe Morales
@fmoralesc
thanks
Dmytri Kleiner
@dmytri
would clash with tables if the table underlines are three or two dashes, but not otherwise
i.e. it wont mach 4 dashes, or dashes at the beginning or end of the line
Felipe Morales
@fmoralesc
I remember now, it was horizontal lines that I removed because of this conflict. I don't remember why I didn't have these in... Anyway, it's merged ;)
Dmytri Kleiner
@dmytri

Hey is this a general pandoc gitter as well as vim-pandoc specifically?
I've got a question about doc -> X conversions, I checked my charset from my doc/docx/odt saves and they are all "binary" charsets which ofc can't be converted to any other format via pandoc because they aren't utf-8
any ideas on how to solve this ? I'm trying to create a nice universal file converter that wraps primarily around pandoc but the primary conversion (doc -> X) not working is really hurting
Felipe Morales
@fmoralesc
hi. sorry, this is mostly about vim-pandoc, but i would have helped if i could. sadly, i'm not sure myself how that could work...
have you tried dropping an e-mail to the pandoc-discuss mailing list? it is very active.
James Sutton
@zeryx
I usually steer clear of mailing lists as a form of communication, but it looks like it might be the only real option for help on this

that's certainly an option :P

@schmittlauch:matrix.org vim-pandoc-syntax does some weird highlighting for me, but I don't want to open an issue yet before checking it's not a layer 8 error:
@schmittlauch:matrix.org posted an image: Screenshot_20161114_150037.png
@schmittlauch:matrix.org often some single words are highlighted and I don't know why. Here's a screenshot oft a test file
@schmittlauch:matrix.org I'm new to gitter, how is the convention in regard to pasting multi-line files? Shall I use a pastebin?
@schmittlauch:matrix.org Btw, I'm using both vim-pandoc and vim pandoc-syntax. This issue could be related to vim-pandoc/vim-pandoc-syntax#195 although I use now special color scheme
matrixbot
@matrixbot
@schmittlauch:matrix.org for clarification: I'd like to know why single words are higlighted in red (background) and whether that's intended

Hello, is there any way of disabling the custom behaviour of gf in vim-pandoc? I've tried by setting g:pandoc#hypertext#use_default_mappings=o and g:pandoc#hypertext#open_editable_alternates=0 with no success.

Anyone with neovim encounter this problem before:
line   16:
E121: Undefined variable: g:pandoc#modules#enabled
E15: Invalid expression: g:pandoc#modules#enabled
Am I supposed to set these somewhere? I didn't see any mention of it in the README
^ Can verify, happens on Vim 7.4 too. If it matters, I'm on OS X, python 2.7.12

Hi guys, I'm having a problem using vim-pandoc-syntax, I can't find any way to configure this and maybe someone knows:
When I write a quote that doesn't end with a comma, but the next letter is not capital, it gets highlighted. E.g., in the following "she" will be highlighted:
"Oh no!" she exclaimed.
even though it's correct. I couldn't figure out what makes it so and how to disable it. It only happens when pandoc sytax is enabled.

Somehow it's the case that :help pandoc doesn't work even though I can read the help files added by other vim plugins just fine (e.g. :help julia-vim works). I'm using the current master branch of vim-pandoc and NeoVim 0.2.0
Oh, and I'm using pathogen 2.4 to load my plugins.

BTW, I just know vim-pandoc today. It's very cool. Even though I don't install and don't use pandoc, vim-pandoc is the best plugin on markdown editing in vim. It should have other name than vim-pandoc since I am not using pandoc at all.
