@vfatemi
@adelatorreduran yeah I can't imagine that they are necessarily closed to the idea of an online event

@everthemore I mean the top banner (not the favicon) @anton I think I like the lighter blue or white for the banner. The light blue is perhaps overused in other websites. White gives a very clean look, which I find inviting for some reason.

I like the amber; white is also not bad, looks very clean and modern

@adelatorreduran
@vfatemi you are right
This is from the organizers: Thank you for contacting us. We already have CUWiP organizers at Brown University hosting CUWiP 2022 in person. If you would like to volunteer at their site, please contact the organizers at cuwip2022@listserv.brown.edu. We have also partnered with the International Atomic Energy Agency who will be hosting the Virtual CUWiP 2022. The Virtual CUWiP is open to international attendees. Please visit our CUWiP webpage for more information.
So maybe we can posit ourselves for the 2023?

This is the webpage of the Virtual CuWip 2022

@akhmerov
Did you see if there's a poster version larger than what's in the link?

@akhmerov
Ah, it's January. No program details yet.
adelatorreduran
@adelatorreduran
Yeah, I'll try to learn as much as I can from what Brown is doing

@giulia-pacchioni @babaks77 I've added more example content to the color selector page. Unfortunately white makes buttons disappear. Amber, while good looking makes it hard to read the hyperlinks.
Babak
@babaks77
How about "light blue"?
Anton Akhmerov
@akhmerov
Sounds good, I'll go with light blue

By the way, is our asynchronous meeting open?
Everard van Nieuwenburg
@everthemore
It is

But I am just now seeing that the notes aren't there properly :O
Will fix asap

@everthemore
I see, not sure what happened there. I had a previous set of notes that I just noticed were gone, reload shows your edits indeed. Is there version history? (not that we need to restore, on the contrary)
Anton Akhmerov
@akhmerov
Yes, there's version history
Everard van Nieuwenburg
@everthemore
So you knew the meeting was open? ;O
Anton Akhmerov
@akhmerov
Only shows my edits though
The title said ## OPEN
Everard van Nieuwenburg
@everthemore
Yeah that seems correct, I added those (and is now default) and see those edits in the version history.
I am fairly certain I transfered part of our previous notes too, but \shrug
thanks for the edits!
Anton Akhmerov
@akhmerov
Unless those somehow overwrote yours and removed them from history...
Everard van Nieuwenburg
@everthemore
That seems unlikely
what is likely is that I copied those notes when I wasn't connected to wifi, and then closed the tab before that happened
there wasn't much anyway
Anton Akhmerov
@akhmerov
@/all we're meeting now
If you're unable to join but went through the notes and/or have comments, add yourself to the asynchronous participants.

Hi everyone, Although a bit late, I'd like to let you all know that I will join the School of Applied and Engineering Physics at Cornell University in the Spring as an assistant professor. Outside of making me busier, it should not significantly affect my involvement with VSF, except that perhaps I can lead some grants in the future and (maybe?) be a presence in physical proximity to the home of arXiv, in case that may prove helpful.
Anton Akhmerov
@akhmerov
Amazing, congratulations!!! Although I have to say I'm not entirely surprised—I expected something like that.
Interesting point about proximity to arXiv
