Hello. This is probably an unusual question, but how was the about dialog made with wxWidgets? I see on Linux that when I click "License" or "Credits", that section expands instead of opening in a new window.
I found the about dialog code here, though I have the same code in my app and the effect is not the same.

It's GTK3 vs GTK2, problem solved. Bye. o/

@vbam-gitter-irc-bot
<kode54> yeah, you want to make sure your code builds with the GTK3 version of wxWidgets
<kode54> for some stupid reason, the wxwidgets.m4 script only detects gtk1 and gtk2

<Cu3PO42> Hello! I'm trying to continuously read the WRAM of a running game. I looked into using the GDB stub, but unfortunately the memory breakpoints stop the game, but do not trigger the command prompt in GDB. So then I figured polling the memory location would be good enough, but the interrupt command doesn't appear to be working and async memory reads a
<Cu3PO42> re not supported by the stub. My second, admittedly hacky, approach was to just inspect the memory of the VBA process. This (https://github.com/visualboyadvance-m/visualboyadvance-m/blob/3ba05295855afd3276e46c1b17a1f8baef83633a/src/gba/GBA.cpp#L1606) suggests WRAM is just allocated on the heap, but I can't seem to find its contents using CheatEngin
<Cu3PO42> e.
<Cu3PO42> Is there anything terribly obvious I'm missing wrt to the memory contents or do I just need to dig deeper?

<kode54> Cu3PO42: I would advise also looking at whether mGBA is an applicable emulator for gdb/lldb debugging
vbam-gitter-irc-bot
@vbam-gitter-irc-bot
<Cu3PO42> I'll take a look at mGBA as well, thank you! I did manage to resolve the issues with reading straight from VBA-M's memory, though. I didn't realize that the memory viewer shows 32-bit int values (rather than their LE representations), so I ended up searching for the wrong values. I have a consistent setup now. At least for this one version of VBA,
<Cu3PO42> but that's probably good enough.

Hello, I created an issue regarding poor/choppy framerate when using the SDL audio plugin: visualboyadvance-m/visualboyadvance-m#709

Could someone help me speculate why this would happen, or give a place to start looking? I would like to start debugging this issue.

vbam-gitter-irc-bot
@vbam-gitter-irc-bot
<kode54> Because the audio plugin is not asking for audio in small enough increments, so it’s regulating the emulator poorly
<kode54> needs to be directsound or wasapi to be high precision enough
<kode54> or a combination of audio and video or audio and timer regulating

Could someone tell me what Gba_Pcm stands for, and also what is the purpose of Gba_Pcm_Fifo?
vbam-gitter-irc-bot
@vbam-gitter-irc-bot
<kode54> literally, PCM
<kode54> pulse code modulation
<kode54> if you don't know what that is, maybe you shouldn't mess with the sound code

<Squall-Leonhart> Nach, bgk, Kode, i have a question from a developer of a tool i use
<Squall-Leonhart> He's trying to read a BGRA texture from a ps3 copy of a game but compared to the PC version it comes out scrambled
<Squall-Leonhart> "anyone familiar with how "RGBA" format from XIV might be laid out in big-endian? in little endian (win32), RGBA format is read b, g, r, a. so i assumed that in big endian (ps3), it would be a, r, g, b. that gets me the right colors, but the pixels are laid out super weird. top is win32, bottom is ps3 with the corrected argb code"

<Haulier> Hello.
<Haulier> I'm not a VBA expert, so I found some vba code on the internet that does what I need with a little detail. Is it possible to only recover a few column / row and not necessarily the whole of a table?
<Haulier> Thank you
<Haulier> Sub classementSaison()
<Haulier> Set qtQtrResults = ActiveSheet.QueryTables _
<Haulier> Destination:=[A2])
<Haulier> With qtQtrResults
<Haulier> .WebFormatting = xlNone
<Haulier> .WebSelectionType = xlSpecifiedTables
<Haulier> .WebTables = "1,2"
<Haulier> .Refresh
<Haulier> End With
