What a great example.
That's actually really amazing.
The EventEmitter class appears to be more than just an "event" emitter.
Also how about processing a file? What if the order of the results matter?

Nice work! But instead of promises why not use reactive programming so you can filter, map, etc the events? Can we do that?
Maybe even cancel them

Promises are monadic, but it would be awesome to choose what type of callback I get
PromiseEmitter vs ReactiveEmitter would be very cool
I imagine implementing a simple physics engine on top of this with reactive programing. It would be awesome.

I'm not the biggest fan of promises
It's better than node.js callback hell, but I'm still curious why adding a different kind of event interface would be a bad idea?

As someone who is used to callback hell in node.js, why should I switch to promise based events? They feel unintuitive.
