    Hi Lex Li. Hows going? I'm starting using your .rst extension for VSCode and looks great... However, i still facing a generic VSCode error when i try to start Preview mode, something like: "Unable to open 'Preview 'license.rst'': Error" -- My VSCode ver is OSX Version 1.3.1 (1.3.1). is there any specific issue opened on Git Repo or i should post on #25 ? Thanks, appreciate your work!
    Lex Li
    @lextm
    @felippeDev It is not a generic error, if you place the cursor on it. The error message can be too long to show, so that way you should see it. Usually it means Sphinx was not able to be located or the conf.py file cannot be located. You can follow the README page to see how they should be set. Of course feel free to open a GitHub issue if you want to attach more info

    I see. I just reviewed all my installation folders, and added settings.json using Code > Preferences > Workspace Settings and vscode has created this folder and i just changed the vars to point to conf.py and build/html folder.. but still got the same error: "no rule to make target 'html'. Stop at child process .js 214:12" - Sorry about interrupt and thanks for your time.

    @felippeDev it is strange to see your Conf.py is in such a folder, not with makefile or make.bat. I don't think the extension currently supports such but yes I should be able to check it out further. I am on vacation right now, so will spare some time next week to see into it.

    @felippeDev
    @lextm Sorry for annoying your vacation... Just take your time, i will send some test results here only to keep in mind.. dont waste your vacation time checking this. About folder structure, Sphinx-quickstart have and option asking to separate build/source folder. I will disable that and test. Thanks and have a fun on vacation..

    @felippeDev
    @lextm Its solved! When you will create any project using sphinx-quickstart you should keep the original file structure and preview mode will works like a charm... :D

    Also it says that all these settings are unknown
    @felippeDev how you resolved the problem? It is unclear from your last message. Can you please explain in more details?

    @xiyangyang410 I don't have any Simplified Chinese machine to reproduce and troubleshoot the issue. As it is an open source project, you might follow the tips to debug the issue on your own. Pull requests are welcome.

    Hello! I'm having an issue related to Windows line endings. If my file uses CRLF, I get a ton of nuisance "D004 Found literal carriage return" and "D002 Trailing whitespace" warnings in vscode. Is there a way to configure this extension to properly handle CRLF line endings that isn't just suppressing those warnings? When I change line endings to LF, all the warnings go away, but I need these files to continue to use CRLF line endings. Thanks!

    I see the existing closed issue on this topic now. But it looks like doc8 has been abandoned...perhaps that is part of the motivation to move to a linter integrated in the language server

    Hey, just wanted to say thanks for this cool extension. :+1:

    Agreed with @buggymcbugfix. This is a much-needed extension!
    Just wondering whether this extension supports the outline mode yet (of whatever file is currently being edited)? I'm working on a book now, and it would sure be helpful to have this. Willing to help but haven't done much with VS Code extensions. Just wondering whether anyone else would find this useful, too.
    Lex Li
    @lextm
    @gkthiruvathukal outline mode requires a better language server for reStructuredText. I used C# to build a testing server for this extension, but it is not yet capable of handling such. If anyone wants to help out, he/she must 1) improve the C# based language server, 2) or write a better one in Python/TypeScript/JavaScript. Keep in mind it is not an easy task.

    Thanks, @lextm. It does sound like more work than I have time/energy to do now. I might be able to engage some of my students in this effort though. Thanks for responding (and sorry for following up so long after asking).

    hey there, i got a problem with the preview part of the extension on windows, it appears that the extension runs commands without putting paths in "" so paths with a space in them fail Command failed: C:\Program Files\Python36\python.exe -m sphinx -b html . "c:\...\docs\_build\html" 'C:\Program' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

    is there any way to fix this?

    How can I enable math?

    I'm a total noob to rst :sweat_smile:

    Actually, I think math is working, but a colleague had a begin{cases} that isn't rendering correctly

    Hello, I am not able to preview rst files. I am having the following error:
    Lex Li
    @lextm
    @Nibba2018 that's a rare error message, so you have to debug the source code yourself to see what might be the cause, https://github.com/vscode-restructuredtext/vscode-restructuredtext/blob/129.0.0/src/rstEngine.ts#L105

    Hi, I was wondering how to suppress the “Duplicate implicit target name” warning from this SO post https://stackoverflow.com/questions/39717529/duplicate-implicit-target-name-how-to-use-a-subtitle-name-more-than-once
    The accepted solution does not work for me. Thanks.
