Hey, is there an API for mobile-checker? Also, how come google mobile-friendly returns different results than mobile checker? For instance, on http://seanneilan.com/, google's mobile-friendly service figures out that the font sizes are way too small on mobile where as mobile checker doesn't report that.
Sean Neilan
@sneilan
Does anyone here exist?
Guillaume Baudusseau
@guibbs
Hi sneilan sorry for this late reply. So, we do have a font-size test but not implemented within this current version. We still need to improve the performances before enabling this test. No API for the moment.
Sean Neilan
@sneilan
Hey!!! :)
Cool, thanks for letting me know. I might be able to contribute that.
I'm currently trying to get the mobile checker up and running so that I can add that,
Link placement detection (are links far enough apart) and horizontal scrolling. I need to make some updates to the mobile checker so the output is roughly similar to google's mobile friendly checker.
And then add a command line API so it can be automated.

@sneilan

I am having some issues however starting it up, I've configured everything, however, when I check my site: http://seanneilan.com/, I get this error:
https://gist.github.com/sneilan/392846946e4dc0e918b3

I'm wondering, is there a specific version of chrome I should be using? I'm using
node v5.0.0
npm 3.3.6
Google Chrome 49.0.2623.87
Mozilla Firefox 45.0
Browsermob proxy from this branch: https://github.com/lightbody/browsermob-proxy/tree/2.0
Apache Maven 3.0.5
java version "1.7.0_95"

@sneilan

With the latest version of browsermob-proxy 2.1.0-beta-4 (December 27, 2015)
I get this error.

Maybe it's because google chrome is running in a headless environment?

Sean Neilan
@sneilan
Question: Was there any reason behind choosing selenium over phantomjs?
Guillaume Baudusseau
@guibbs
Hi sneilan, yes chrome is running in a headless environment. Let me some time to have a look at your issues.
We are using selenium over phantomjs because at that time phantomjs had some issues in handling media queries properly (if I recall correctly).
