I am learning frontend, and I would like to play with it if possible. It can't be messier than my angular or wordpress projects. :-) I am still trying to get CLI of DomainSale going, geth is super annoying and keeps trying to now download the full chain. It's too painful on Brexit states (I'm in Ohio) internet speeds of 2Mbps during peak hours. It's no wonder ending net neutrality was seen as the only chance for many to get normal service someday. People think the support of it is fake, I assure it's not!
Alternatively there could be an agreement to use an on-chain affiliate address that is a splitter contract
This is what I was thinking. Distribute profits among incoming URLs. TBH, too complicated for state things are at. Just getting people to use this platform is what is needed. There are plenty of features, like selling subdomains, and leaseholds, but they aren't needed now. I like simple. Unfortunately, the 'Field of Dreams' strategy doesn't work in sea of fragmented attention. Everybody has moved out of Iowa. They won't see it without marketing.
It would also be nice to how many hits a particular domain has got on MEW, or from a log on the contract of lookup calls. It would be much easier to price the market if this info were public. Right now it seems market is playing correct game theory. Very polarized pricing. If a market is sparsely traded, it can go up or down greatly on small volume. In this case there is no volume, so it is quite reasonable to demand high prices. You have to think as a seller, "Why would anyone be interested in what I have to sell unless they think it is really valuable?" As a buyer you have to think, "These people are out of their mind!"
This project is going to stagnate until HW support added to the major third web browsers. Mist is an absolute pile, and is the only one where you can use a HW wallet, but it's CLI and amusingly clumsy. I want this to succeed badly.
Great article, Jim McDonald.
I collect interesting domain names for speculation:
Also, just bought these this morning:
Hi! How is it possible to win an auction without paying any amount ?! Gentlemen, this is a very serious bug! It has taken the auction fixed at 110 ETH at the moment of being published! There is a bot that is dedicated to steal the ENS in the auction.

@mcdee I finally figured out that you could do it with vintage.myetherwallet.com. It's very slow, but worked. I only had a few on there, so need to do it manually. MEW deleted their old repositories and doesn't link to that.
Your effort was very much appreciated. I know you didn't make any money from it, but the fact that it existed pushes everything forward, so for that, thank you!
