    @ostephens That's good to know about the OR +Marc Edit workshop as one of my LIR colleagues had specifically mentioned MarcEdit. I would see interest in attending library carpentry coming from cataloguing libarians as well.

    @BreedaHerlihy_twitter When we did an in-house SWC for our staff two+ years ago, we included in the python lesson a section on using pymarc in Python for processing MARC records. There is definately interest.

    @laufers that's great to know. We are considering that we should possibly poll the library community in Ireland to ensure that we would sufficent uptake for an LC series of workshops.

    We did a PyMarc lesson at the NYPL a few years back, too. At that workshop we had parallel afternoon sessions. One room did PyMarc and the other did SQL.

    @jnothman when you say visual scraper, do you mean something like import.io?
    Speaking as a relative newb I find BS4 much simpler to use than Scrapy. And xpath makes me shudder!

    Hi @drjwbaker : re "Did the general post-sprint meeting/natter get arranged?" - I have been struck down with a hideous cough and cold and have barely been able to crawl into work for my final days. Will be on to post-sprint natter-organising next week for sure.
    @richyvk I am leaving my paid zoom account at QCIF today but hope to have zoom in my new job so can probably set them up.
    Just letting you all know in advance I am running instructor training in Sydney Mon-Tue next week so will be in radio silence while I do that. If you ping me and I don't answer that is why.
    The import.io session went OK @timtomch - not my finest teaching as I was so ill but people liked it. Webhose.io offers 1000 free scrapes as opposed to import.io's 500. but given import.io resets each month, it;'s still a pretty accessible tool. Will check out your hidden gems - would have been good to know on Wednesday !

    @weaverbel hope you'll get better! Not much of a hidden gem, little more than a collection of screenshots at this stage. I stopped writing up the lesson after getting that feedback from my class.
    Re: max number of queries. I was able to coax import.io to grant me a free temporary pro account so I wouldn't run into the limit as I was developing the lesson. It wasn't a straightforward process however... quite a lot of back and forth. Worth a try.

    @anelda I have been too sick to plan anything but my next sneeze. And that didn't work out too well. Finally on the mend now 😀
