So I just continue maintaining current Meteor-based Wekan

@kapilpipaliya
thanks

@xet7 just moved from Jira to Wekan and I think it is fab. You've done a superb job maintaining it. I and my team with do our best to contribute and support. The agile project management tooling space is just full of lots of substandard tooling, wekan really hits the sweet spot for me. I especially love the swimlanes - they totally swung it for me
we can help keep the docker images relevant, we will also be looking at making it production strength security-wise and responsiveness.

@mhsutton_gitlab
@xet7 on the roadmap ,how did you get the text on the card labels to show (I just get a colour)?
Mike
@mhsutton_gitlab
ah, scrub that -= old version.

@xet7
@mhsutton_gitlab At Wekan board sidebar is checkbox "Hide minicard label text [_]", with it you can switch showing text on / off

I installed Meteor-1.8 by following docker instructions, doh! should have checked and now changed it to :latest and lots of things now make sense.

@xet7
@mhsutton_gitlab Where is Meteor-1.8 instructions? URL ? Maybe they are outdated.
Mike
@mhsutton_gitlab
in the in docker-compose (really well documented actually) I would update with :latest just to be sure.

@xet7
@mhsutton_gitlab There is some beginning plans for GitLab integration wekan/wekan#2698
Mike
@mhsutton_gitlab
(i'll take a look, FYI - I don't work @ gitlab - just logged in to gitter with gitlab creds)
but gitlab integration would be useful for my team too. :)

@xet7
@mhsutton_gitlab Yes you and your team are very welcome to help with those 540+ Wekan GitHub issues https://github.com/wekan/wekan/issues , I can not implement all of those at once, all new contributors make Wekan progress faster with pull requests.
Mike
@mhsutton_gitlab
i think the route to go to work for all editions is webhooks - initially anyway
I have that with RocketChat and gitlab and it worksa dream
@xet7 absolutely - will take a look and roll up sleeves and help were we can - have they been triaged at all? Or are they between nothing and something?
In general, every Wekan contributor works first on those issues that are most important to them.
Mike
@mhsutton_gitlab
ok - awesome, I'll start there
Lauri Ojansivu
@xet7
Thanks! :)
With Wekan, it has started to feel quite nice :) Someone moved from Trello to Wekan, because Wekan fixed some Trello pain points. And some are moving from Monday to Wekan. And you now from Jira to Wekan :D
Mike
@mhsutton_gitlab
@xet7 that is a lovely feeling. Great endorsement of the tireless work you've done to build something useful.
and thoroughly well deserved. Once I blog on my move from Jira to Wekan, I'm sure there will be a few more people using it.
