Hi, it looks like runtime.showAll() will only work with the camera aligned with one of the three major axes?

is there a way to "fit all" in the scene while specifying an arbitrary axis?

Hi to all. I'm using x3dom to open x3d files. I'm using example "Using the Inline Node" as a base. Deer.x3d and some other models opens fine, but some models failed to open - I just see blank screen after load. Here is what Log and Stat window shows: https://prnt.sc/y5jgvb. Why some x3d files are failed to open and how to fix this?

The Inline should be proper XML. I used Notepad++ to look at the file with XML syntax highlighting and noticed the offcolor. I noticed the WorldInfo has 'Autodesk Translation Framework'. Hopefully, it is not responsible for the missing quote ?

Thank you, I will keep in mind. No, it's not Autodesk, it was another translator from STEP to X3D.

Hi all, I'm looking for info on any custom Camera navigation/navigationInfo options out there. Iv found most users are uncomfortable with the defaults (like WALK,FLY) and would like something more like typical first person game controls.

Also by typical first person game controls I mean, WASD/arrows to move, mouse to look, center target to interact. I'm aware of the GAME navigationInfo which uses DOOM-like controls, I'm not sure that will make much sense to a modern audience.

Hi all, I have a website in x3dom but I think will be fantsastic if I can limit the zoom in and zoom out of Turntable or Examine navigation. Does anyone have a solution? Thank you

@Nonnisi, x3dom/x3dom#1074 has information on developing custom navigation. It is a significant effort.

@pdrsvt_gitlab, I cannot think of a straightforward way to limit zoom. You could disable zoom and offer perhaps multiple viewpoints with varying distances/zoom levels.

About the zoom limit I was thinking about a system that uses zfar znear or something like that. But I am not a programmer, i need simple code

@pdrsvt_gitlab, zfar and znear are for far and near clipping planes, not really for zoom. I do not think there is simple code to limit zoom at this point. You could disable zoom completely, and offer perhaps multiple viewpoints with varying distances/zoom levels.

I need easier navigation for those who are not used to the 3D world. In walk navigation can I lock one axis to avoid looking down and up?

When I try to replace the old version of x3dom (x3dom.css, x3dom-full, and x3dom-full.debug) with version 1.8.2, the 3d model does not appear. Maybe I got some code wrong. Does anyone have a solution? This is the test page: https://www.arturopicca.com/default182.htm Thank you

You could use a stylesheet instead of an inline style attribute:

I would like an animation that after a few seconds stops, but loop='true' does not work. Perhaps I need a different code?

That should be doable. loop='true' makes the animation repeat indefinitely as you would suspect. You may have to look into the x3d spec. on how timesensor works. For loop='false' you would need to set a starttime to trigger the start of the animation, by route or script. It is best if you would have an example.

Regarding loop=false, unfortunately I have not found any clear and functional examples that use an animation with loop=false. If anyone has any links or code to give me I would appreciate it. Thank you

I want to convert my x3dom to gltf, and perhaps I one day earn moeny on that token so it will be commersial. I need to find a good converter. Do you know? I am going to use that in NFT Token game of my own, but that avatars can also be used in other games/apps . Arweave (permWeb I use) do not let me upload .x3d ,but GLB.

I have started to make NFT Token of my videos and now I am going to make videos of my X3DOM animation. I have used some stuff from examples and tutorials in X3DOM.org .
Is there any standards for how to inform about that in the description when I create the NFT Token?
When making a NFT token I cannot change that info later.

Hi all

So I'm tackling a WebXR idea, and want to use X3Dom.

WebXR wants two seperate frame rendering steps. The best way I can think to handle this is to setup a render loop outside of X3D's 'normal' loop, and then intercept things using X3D's onRender to make changes for each eye, and generate the frames needed.

Still working out how to do this the best way.

Thing I'm most curious about, is the lifecycle of triggerRedraw. Does this redraw with the LAST or CURRENT animation time step?

Hello X3DOM,
I have created a X3DOM animation and I am going to make NFT Token of it.
The Marketplace I use is solsea.io , which is cheap.
So I have to make a GIF of the 3D animation.

Suggestions for how ? The file must be less than 10 Mb. I use Pinnacle
23 and screen recorder , but the filesize is to high.

The marketplace opensea lets you upload GLB files.

Do you know how I can convert X3DOM to GLB when it is commercial?
Next I wonder what I have to written in the description of the gif and
in the X3DOM file according to License X3DOM.
For example, I have also changed a bit and used Allen Duton H-anim.
Do you know of any marketplace that let you upload x3d ?
