<mrfearless> That audio renderer issue looks odd. Maybe its some sort of anti-debug detection. Or a badly coded driver that crashes when finding a debugger, which is odd.

<gand0lf> Might be security software related too..had me thinking about something i wanted to write for x64, a simple diagnostic tool for bug reporting..collects information that might be helpful with reporting odd bugs that could be compatibility issues..
<gand0lf> Loaded modules, services installed, processes that have open handles to the debugger, etc
<gand0lf> Ofc there’s the privacy concerns of that..but it would be open source so 🤷🏾‍♂️

<EvilSapphire> How good is x64dbgpy for runtime automation right now?
Matthias Moninger
@ZehMatt
probably depends what you want to do
x64dbgbot
@x64dbgbot
<mrexodia> Probably not good, try the c# plugin (re @EvilSapphire: How good is x64dbgpy for runtime automation right now?)
x64dbgbot
@x64dbgbot
<TomieKawakami> it require specific instalation of python 2
<TomieKawakami> c# probably got some intellisense for the api xD that gonna be very handy
<testpil0t> I wonder how easy that would be wrappable into some rest API. I'd still love to remotely control x64dbg from whatever language☺️
<lpcvoid> why not some sexy, efficient binary protocol, why always rest oof
x64dbgbot
@x64dbgbot
<testpil0t> For the sake of simplicity. You find rest clients for every major language. Built a swagger file and let the rest generated.
<lpcvoid> I guess the cool ships have all sailed huh
<lpcvoid> Web stuff is everywhere, absolute bummer
<testpil0t> I'd personally value ease of use and portability over efficiency in a protocol
<testpil0t> Esp if I don't have performance issues yet.
<lpcvoid> Yeah, that's a very common mindset indeed
x64dbgbot
@x64dbgbot

<TomieKawakami> easy i guess but too many xD or kinda much work
you have to write all your wrapper.. or build xD x64dbg but all function is on export

when u send command to net work .... parse it xD first param is the function u want to call... find the export xD then next params and so on is the param for that exported function.. then call it..

or hook the command xD when u send command .. u call the x64dbg command xD

<manaplus> if not use breakpoint callbacks, it should works (re @EvilSapphire: How good is x64dbgpy for runtime automation right now?)

@x64dbgbot
<Gagan_305> is there any tutorials or guides on how to use x64dbg?
x64dbgbot
@x64dbgbot
<TomieKawakami> learn olly xD
<TomieKawakami> nah some youtuber teaches it you should watch it
x64dbgbot
@x64dbgbot
<EvilSapphire> Wait, so I gotta learn c# for x64dbg automation? (re @mrexodia: Probably not good, try the c# plugin)
<TomieKawakami> do you hate it xD
<TomieKawakami> its one of c family .. it probably took you 30 or less minutes to learn it
<TomieKawakami> asuming u have c++ c background
<EvilSapphire> Yes....but c# lol
<TomieKawakami> xD you got intellisense tho xD so give a try xD asuming you dont know all the api
x64dbgbot
@x64dbgbot
<TomieKawakami> bare with it.. ucan use it for prototypes
<TomieKawakami> before you write actual c++ version of it
x64dbgbot
@x64dbgbot
<mrexodia> C# is far superior to python imo
<TomieKawakami> ^

<ishitatsuyuki> how do I select X bytes from the current dump cursor?
<ishitatsuyuki> I want to dump a buffer at (ADDR, LEN)
<ishitatsuyuki> and I know that using the binary->save to file I can dump the selected region but the region is too long to select by mouse
<EvilSapphire> Savedata
<ishitatsuyuki> ah, ok

@x64dbgbot
<mrexodia> https://github.com/mrexodia/ExtendDumpSel (re @ishitatsuyuki: how do I select X bytes from the current dump cursor?)
<mrexodia> I made a plugin just for that
<mrexodia> but yeah, for saving the data it'll be easier to use the command directly
x64dbgbot
@x64dbgbot
<ali56s> have u compiled? (re @mrexodia: but yeah, for saving the data it'll be easier to use the command directly)
<mrexodia> No, you can compile it yourself
<ali56s> i have not compiler in my pc
x64dbgbot
@x64dbgbot
<lpcvoid> That is pretty unfortunate
