    Hi @mauroa - while connecting to my mac from VS 2019 I am getting error "An unexpected error occurred while checking the SSH configuration of '_ssh' username" . How do I remove existing mac mini connection entry and add it again ?
    Mauro Agnoletti
    @mauroa
    To remove it you just right click > "Forget Mac..."
    That removes it as a known host
    IoTFier
    @IoTFier
    it is not giving me that option .. but only to connect

    while connecting I see message as disconnecting ... would any logs from my PC will help in finding what might be wrong ?
    or is there any registry entry that I can delete ?
    Mauro Agnoletti
    @mauroa
    If you don't have that option is because it's not a known host yet. What VS version are you using?
    Try deleting the content of %LOCALAPPDATA%\Xamarin\MonoTouch and try again
    That will force VS to ask for credentials and generate the SSH keys again

    @IoTFier
    is the path " AppData\Local\Xamarin\MonoTouch" on windows ?
    I am on 16.5.4

    @IoTFier
    renaming that folder worked ...

    Hi guys!

    I've update VS for Mac and Xamarin.iOS today...
    When I archive for publishing, Im getting this warning:

    MTOUCH : warning MT2003: Option '--optimize=experimental-xforms-product-type' will be ignored since linking is disabled
    and Apple is rejecting my build because of deprecated UIWebView...
    Has anyone faced it?
    My linker behavior is set to "Link All"

    Has anyone faced it?

    Yes. In our game engine we had to move to WkWebView. It's not that different and it is easy to transition to it.

    Hello everyone! Is there any way to create an extension for VS for Mac? I can't find any API\Docs\Tutors about that. Only for Xamarin studio which is dead I think. All microsoft links leads to nowhere.

    Hello everyone! IGlyphFactoryInterface on Mac should return object. But what actually I should return in order to get glyph in the gutter? I tried both NSImage and GtkImage. None of that works.

    @helviett
    Also, ClassificationFormatDefinition is unable to change foreground color of comment line. Why?

    Where is a startup point in monodevelop extension? How can I run some extensions code on VS for Mac startup?

    Hi @mauroa , how are you ? I am hitting again one of the previous errors when connecting to my Mac for running iOS Simulator . Any thought what may be going wrong ?
    Restarting Mac Mini has helped me at a time, but it is getting very non-productive.
    Would really appreciate your help and guidnace on this . Thank you.

    Hi @mauroa , how are you ? any clue on these errors -

    Hi, I'm just attempting to build an old (approx 1 yr) Xamarin forms project. I have a mac mini to perform iOS builds. I have just rebuilt my mac and I'm having all sorts of trouble with iOS build/debug. Is this an issue at the moment for others
    I've created a new vanilla tabbed Xamarin forms app to see if I can work out what's wrong and I get the same issues. e.g. I just built for an iPhone 12 simulation and attempting to debug gives me a message iOS Simulator, A fatal error occurred while trying to start the server.
    There is nothing of any help in the Output window(s) of VS
    Chris Hall
    @situssoft
    That appears to be a simulator remoting error - without remoting the simulator works fine as does the debugger.

    @situssoft
    Whiles the above is inconvenient I can work around it with a VNC desktop share. However the bigger problem now is that I can no longer build on my mac an debug on a phone connected to my mac. I realize that with Hot Restart I can connect the iPhone directly to my windows machine but I have found that debugging experience to be ropy at best. Now when I build on my mac from VS I see this error: Failed to codesign 'bin/iPhone/Debug/App1.iOS.app': Warning: unable to build chain to self-signed root for signer "Apple Development: xxxxx (xxxxx)"
    Can anyone help resolve that error?

    Hi, I am trying to build an old Xamarin Solution. I have been told that this solution can only be built by visual studio 2017. However it is not compiling on a fresh visual studio. The issue is that it is complaining of error:Unsupported or invalid $(TargetFrameworkVersion) value of 'v4.2'. Please update your Project Options. I think the support for the older versions of Android was removed on release Xamarin.Android 9.2. How can I install older version of Xamarin (perhaps Xamarin.Android 9.0) to support version 4.2 API level 17 (4.2) ?

    @ahmad2x4
    please ignore my previous message. it is now working
