    @suren343 I would use a project like https://poi.apache.org to parse the document and then take what you want from it and store it. If you want to simply store it then parse save CSV if you do not need to save Microsoft info. If you need file intack then would use http://tool.oschina.net/uploads/apidocs/jedis-2.1.0/redis/clients/jedis/BinaryJedisCommands.html to read/write the file as binary

    Hi, I've deployed a redis cluster with helm charts in kubernetes, but it's without sentinels, here is a description of it.

    This chart, compared to other available solutions such as Redis-HA, provides high availability using Kubernetes native mechanisms and it is not necessary to rely on other solutions like Redis-Sentinel.

    I want to use Jedis library to connect the cluster, can anyone tell me how to connect the slaves in Jedis?

    I've tried the following configuration but failed.

    spring.redis:
      sentinel:
        master: 192.168.12.53:31319
        nodes: 192.168.12.53:31016

    Hey, folks! Would you be able to take a look at the redis command listener PR xetorthio/jedis#1791 was superseded by xetorthio/jedis#1972 As far as I can see from the thumbs up it's a feature that multiple people want for instrumentation.

    I have a situation, while storing an Object in Redis cache using Jedis. I am using Jackson ObjectMapper to serialize and deserialize object. But when I deserialize an Object, I am not getting exact Object, some instances in the objects are set to null

    public Class SomeTest{ private PebbleTemplate template; private PebbleTemplate template2; }

    Here is what I am doing with the above class

    public Class SomeClass{ public void setObjectInCache(){ jedis.set(objectMapper.writeValueAsBytes("someObject"), objectMapper.writeValueAsBytes("someTest")); } }

    Appreciated for your advice
    It works with telnet to the corresponding port, redis-cli works too

    from the same client machine?
    Wenxing Zheng
    @wenxzhen
    yes
    Guy Korland
    @gkorland
    does it mange to open any connection or do you get it on the first connection?
    Wenxing Zheng
    @wenxzhen
    can't open any connection
    Guy Korland
    @gkorland
    did you try open a simple jedis connection without a pool?
    Wenxing Zheng
    @wenxzhen
    I didn't try, but i tried to use another server, it works
    Ops told me there was not special configurations
    Guy Korland
    @gkorland
    I would have try by just trying to open a Jedis client without a pool and see where it takes you
    Wenxing Zheng
    @wenxzhen
    OK, i will try. Thanks
    Wenxing Zheng
    @wenxzhen

    @gkorland
    so I think you have a starting point here, if you sure you can open a telnet connection from the same machine, then your configuration is wrong

    I'm planning to implement the single instance version of RedLock https://redis.io/topics/distlock
    and as a Redis & Jedis newbie I've some questions about it.

    Lock would be acquired with Jedis

    set(final String key, final String value, final String nxxx, final String expx, final int time)

    but what about unlock?
    How would I release the lock only if the value matches the expected value?
    Should I just do GET + DEL, maybe in a transaction?

    Guy Korland
    @gkorland
    you can run LUA script as suggested in on the link
    if redis.call("get",KEYS[1]) == ARGV[1] then
        return redis.call("del",KEYS[1])
    else
        return 0
    end
    using jedis.eval

    @corenti13711539_twitter
    eval - right, thanks! :thumbsup:
