Checking if it’s easy
If is, it’ll be supported in 10m or so
Pedro Tacla Yamada
@yamadapc
@reggi It’s easy, so it’s now supported, but I’ve just found out that the built in runner is broken for async tests...
Thomas Reggi
@reggi
Thanks a bunch
The api usually looks like // promise -> 10
because it returns a promise
But it's not very standard
by api I mean examples i've seen

I'm really looking forward to hearing you throughs on this yamadapc/jsdoctest#16
Pedro Tacla Yamada
@yamadapc
@reggi That's a good enough jsdoc annotation...
Does... //=> { "foo": console.log } not work?
Other issues are all good ideas
I'm just going to wait a sec before thinking about them, there're other important problems right now
If you want, please collaborate :D

Hey @yamadapc just saw all this thanks for getting back to me.
May scratch an itch you have too.
Also could use a better name before I publish
exe-js-md ?
Pedro Tacla Yamada
@yamadapc
@reggi I think it looks good :)
Have you seen those literate programming packages that extract the code to be runnable?
Thomas Reggi
@reggi
?
Pedro Tacla Yamada
@yamadapc
Extract the code blocks from markdown, so you can run it, like a program
Thomas Reggi
@reggi
Does that exist?
Pedro Tacla Yamada
@yamadapc
Yeah
Thomas Reggi
@reggi
Can you send me it?
Pedro Tacla Yamada
@yamadapc
Sec.
so
:)
Thomas Reggi
@reggi
Pretty cool
Pedro Tacla Yamada
@yamadapc
It's super simple, but very nice
You know, you can always do something like: some-command-that-prints-fenced-blocks markdown-file.md > jsfile.js && node jsfile.js
but you can also go crazy
extracts code blocks from a zulip chat message and evaluates them
Thomas Reggi
@reggi
I just finished creating a "some-command-that-prints-fenced-blocks"
:(
I guess we'll have another :)
Pedro Tacla Yamada
@yamadapc
jep
not the worst of problems
;)

@reggi
Just pushed a new release :) https://github.com/reggi/evalmd
I'd really appreciate a star :sparkles:
Pedro Tacla Yamada

You know any command-line tools that create a repo in github?
