The replay format remains the same no matter what library you use to parse it, so it's just a matter of knowing the APIs to access the data you need. Most of the tricky work is in figuring out what data is available in the file and how to access it.
Animation is a cool idea and something we have thought about, but the problem is that taking data points at high enough frequency to produce good animations simply takes up a ton of storage. Currently our parsed matches are at about 200kb of JSON each
