yeah, those'll work. In production we use pm2 to keep our processes alive and resurrect them if they crash. You can use our code to do the same, although it's designed for a distributed setup with parsers and retrievers on separate nodes from the rest.
Also as a warning to anyone using YASP code or interested in development: YASP 5.0.0 is in the works with a migration to SQL and a lot of under-the-hood changes.

I would like to have it before the end of the month. However we would really like to have the UPSERT feature of Postgres, which isn't going to be out until the 9.5 release, which is supposed to be late this year. It's currently in Beta 1.
5.0.0 is functional and you can try it out (sql branch)
